Congratulations, look forward to seeing the pictures.
This thread has inspired me to get mine serviced and a new NATO fitted, and give it some proper wrist time.

Just a small point of order… Frederic Piguet is no longer in existence, it’s been fully subsumed by Blancpain for the past decade.

I know - I was shown around the FP workshop within the Blancpain facility. It's still regarded as a discrete and separate entity within the BP organisation.

You’ll want the Automatique 5015D 1140 52B/71B with satin brushed case and blue flinqué dial.

Nageurs de combat. Received today. Brand new from AD.

The best built diver I have ever tried! It is however too big. Brushed steel helps a bit, but not the under radar effect I was after.

    I've been Blancpain'd again!

Hmm it does feel big. Probably to do with the fact I had a 35mm quartz as daily watch for three months :)

Yes, BUT, 48 hours later and the other will feel small and the BP will be the new normal, sizewise.
Anyway if you don't like it give it to me. ;-)

Wtf! My little seiko has gone 20 minutes slow! After losing just 2 seconds over 3 months.

    Only realised after uploading picture.

Maybe its a sign to keep the FF :)

That does not look too big, well it sort of looks big next to that tiddler, but looks fine on the wrist.

Lovely watch, give it a chance.

honestly, that BP is not too big for you. Yes its thick and you need to adjust to that, but it fits your wrist, zero overhang and if anything the strap curves nicely.

    Still within seiko accuracy guidelines.

Rubbish :). It was two seconds slow since April. Minute hand must have become loose...

I have the wrist for big watches, but prefer them smaller tbh. Thought FF will wear smaller from what I read on here.

There's something to be said for this. My 37mm Grand Seiko has started to feel small since I've been wearing a 40mm Mark 18 all the time. 3 days in to wearing the GS again and it's back to 'perfect size'. I'm sure it works the other way too. That said, 45mm is bloody big in anyone's book.

If you do end up keeping it, do register on-line with BP’s Circle of Connoisseurs. The main benefit is a three year extension to the warranty, making five years in total. For some reason this is not widely publicised.

Thanks for that! This is my first Blancpain but regularly receive their Le Brassus magazine. For about 12-13 years I think.

I guess we are supposed to keep it quiet. A secret of the “Circle” - which I have already broken!
