Handmade to measure from Equus, cannot recommend highly enough

Belts are something I buy once in a decade. Due to lockdown I have ... ahem.. gone up a couple of inches .
I generally go for plain matte black leather with a dull steel buckle . No gold or chrome bling . Something rugged but can equally go on a suit or a pair of jeans. I’d pay a reasonable amount but not for some name like Boss or Gucci.
Recommendations welcome and if we have any leather workers who fancy a bash by all means let me know.

I went with the Classic Jeans Belt. It's good quality and no complaints.
TK Maxx or M and S its only a belt but it’s your money.

These elasticated belts are great for preventing builder's bum, so might suit until, er, the curves flatten. Probably won't go with a suit very well, but who's wearing a suit at the moment?

I wear this in the woods and to work... given it’s not leather but I like it. Many other similar styles around

I've bought a couple from this guy. He custom makes them to your size from whatever leather and buckle you choose. Really high quality and last for ages. In the US though.
Can be had for cheaper elsewhere and also available in black. I have quite a few belts but this one has lasted years and years. Perhaps not the most elegant for a suit but I would buy one again without hesitation.

I normally buy leather belts from a guy who makes them who normally attends the game fairs. Can’t find him online though which is a shame as I’d like a new one.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
I am absolutely loving the new Ratchet Belts, no holes, no tails, perfect fit before and after dinner.
Super cheap too

Loved my Heistercamp https://www.heistercamp.co.uk/ belt but then left it in the changing rooms after a SUP session, must order another.

I have a couple from village leathers good quality and excellent value.
I have two very nice belts in brown and black from Hawkdale. Around £20. Full grain leather/ brass buckle. Nothing fancy, but made properly.
Another vote for Heistercamp. Thankfully I still have mine!

Anderson elastic belts.
Once you have tried, you will never go back.

Or failing that, one of their plaited leather ones so it's infinitely adjustable.
My favourite belt is from the Danish court saddlers, Dahlman. It has the benefit of practically having no buckle; just a small brass hook and a leather keeper.

In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
Thanks for all the suggestions , bought the patagonia technical for my jeans and cargos , still undecided on the leather
Classic TZ - I have a little browse while the kettles boiling and 2 days later I’’ve spent hours researching belts, leather, tanneries and now ordered two belts I didn’t know I needed!
I do not understand the price of belts. I buy from leather belts from a market seller in Cambridge who trades as Seneca leather goods for ten pounds. Wide choice of leathers and new and vintage buckles. Fitted to you, punched and riveted there and then.
I've been brought some razor strop leather I bought a few years ago to him and he made me a couple of belts from it.
