Personally I think it goes well.
Here is my 114060 on an Everest rubber.
I like mine on a geckota tropical strap sometimes, but the bracelet always inevitably goes back on
Just a standard Hirsch rubber strap showing gaps and all but it works for me.

You don’t need to cut a nato strap, I find this the best way to wear mine.

Bracelet or RubberB for me, never seen a sub look good on leather ruins the watch to my eyes.Maybe a black Zulu/Rhino?

I never keep any watch on one thing for long so as soon as I got my sub I started looking into other options. I bought a cheap rubber equivalent of the Everest/Rubber B from Cousins (for about £20 if memory serves) and a NATO FROM Eddie. My intention was to see which I liked and trade up.
I won’t be bothering though, both are excellent and get far more wear than the bracelet. I am thinking of an Erika’s but can’t decide on the colour.
‘Dive in’ and give some a try !
I love submariners, I think they look good on the metal strap but equally look amazing on Rubber B, or my preference Everest. Nato straps and subs also look good I think but generally on other people. On me I dont really like them. Subs on metal straps remind me of a shady used car salesman, Mark.
A poor man’s sub on an Erica’s Original works for me
I rarely wear my Sub on its bracelet, preferring nato, rubber, leather, MN style straps. Currently sits on rubber!

Posted it in another thread, but my Tempo Materials strap arrived for my Sub today!

Personally, I think a Sub looks great on rubber or sailcloth/cordura, both of which are water resistant and suit it's practical diving function. Also looks great on casual distressed leather or a nato for that Bond look if that's your thing. Especially your no date version which I think is much cooler than the date version. The date function always looks a bit out of place on a Sub to me, especially with that cyclops. Always thought a cyclops looks great on a DJ or DD but out of place on steel sports Rolex's. A Sub looks great on most straps because it's a Sub! Plain and simple. One day I too will own one!
There is a way around the cyclops, if you don’t like the look.

I think you probably influenced me. It was only after joining this forum that I developed cyclopsphobia.

I ended up asking Pavel on the forum to make me this leather strap. Quite like the look of this! I also have a rubber strap on the way.
