Wow, that's quite a journey from the first sketches.
Someone who lies about the little things will lie about the big things too.

I guess when you already had plans, have the right equipment and the man power anything is possible.

    Hi FFF

Is there a price for this masterpiece of metalwork and are you taking orders for it yet?

Not taking orders yet but was just updating the forum, it’ll be £170 which includes delivery.
Theres a saving of circa £30 plus delivery to forum members

Forgot to say that the construction inside allows the sandwiching of the DEF heat blanket so it won’t be visible....not sure how others do it but thought it was worth a mention as insulation was brought up earlier on in the thread

    Hi FFF

Looks good hope it turns out some good pizzas!

Could you remind me what size the base steel is / size of pizza it’ll take?

Not sure but I’ll find out- I’d say 12 inches but will confirm.

  9. #109
So can confirm it will take up to a 12 in pizza.

Important info to all parties who have expressed an interest.

The website will go live in a few days and he’s setting up a promo code to use which will will reduce the oven to £170

As soon as it’s live I’ll stick to the link

These look great and a great price too.
I know you mentioned the gas option coming soon but would this be an optional extra to fit the wood fired one ?

I suppose there is the danger that those who have shown an interest above (I'm one of them) will miss out on the initial 100 discounted allocation if a general link is put onto the thread (e.g. if they don't log on for a few days), but maybe that's just the luck of the draw.

Looking good - thanks for the updates!

P.S. There was chat above of some real-world experiences / tests of the new oven. Is this still planned?

Don’t think he’s said discount is only for first 100 and might even be better to get a later one in case there are any teething problems or later mods.

Certainly looks a good price and looks as good (if not better) than my Ooni Pro. Unfortunately just invested in a gas burner for mine so won’t be getting one of these.

  13. #113
He’s currently testing it now, due to how its planned out I’m unlikely to get one to test that I can report back.
The first couple are being tested and reviewed but not sure time scales.
I will of course update when I can and when I know more.

  14. #114
First proper pics of final product- testing and review real soon

    UPDATE with website

So here’s the website to preorder...there’s only 100 at the price quoted on a first come basis.

Enter you’re email address and you’ll be put on the list and will be able to order when ready. Obviously no money yet until the order is placed

Something which has come to light is that the discount is slightly less- I thought that the full retail was going to be £199 however it’s clearly £195.

    Me too.

Thanks FFF. Am hoping to collect as the chap behind it is just down the road. Great to support a local business.

Love the community spirit on this forum.

Sorry it worked out a little differently to how it was originally planned. I think from the initial chat I had with him it gave him the impetus to look in to it more deeply hence he’s kind of gone balls out on it. I think what he’s achieved in the intervening weeks is pretty cool considering the first one was knocked up a few years ago and looked like the first few pictures. I’m hoping to get my hands on one soon...DavidL is going to come round and take it for a test drive and we’ll at some point post up the results.
I’m sure Will, the maker, will appreciates the support....he’d fit in well on the forum as a watch nut also.

He can see all the pre registers so if you think there’s a problem let me know your name via PM and I’ll check with him you’re registered.
You should have had an email back- if not check your junk box, that’s where mine was

Do you know if a gas burner will be coming and fit in the back ?
Would really love to get one of these and if I know that a burner is on the cards and will fit I'm in.

This is amazing and hasn’t taken very long from FFF’s initial post to now.

Not sure Mrs Bambam wants a pizza oven, but inspired by this - do you reckon he’s interested in making a gas-fired plancha?

If you can think of it and draw it he can essentially make anything.
    I can ask

Thanks but couldn't wait so registered. Either way I think they are great and if it ends up with the dual fuel option that's a bonus.
And thanks for putting this up

Cool. I like the design (and marketing) of this - https://www.verycook.co.uk/p/281-pla...ss-steel-.html - but it is expensive. They also do an enamelled plate version - https://www.verycook.co.uk/p/279-pla..._steel_verynox

And at the other end of the market - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...KL5A1OLE&psc=1

Just an idea - your friend seems like he cares about the design, quality and usability of stuff he produces.

Not wishing to derail this thread, we can continue the discussion separately if needed.

On topic - he seems to have done a brilliant job on the pizza oven and the ability to retro-fit a gas option is really good. Just wish I thought we'd get some use out of something like that.

No worries- I’ve asked him a question and linked the thread so he can take a look.
As I said he can literally make anything, whether he’s got time and manpower I’m unsure. I’m guessing as a one off costs would be higher due to development time. Perhaps it’s an avenue he may look at

Seems to have a nice even flame spread which is apparently ideal for a uniformed cook

In that video it looks like a relatively small pile of pellets, on the ooni’s you fill the hopper and that feeds the flame keeping an even temp and burn rate, it will be interesting in seeing how this oven compares as the hopper looks quite shallow but wider
