Technically, I think it would have to be called a render of a variant not put into production.

As you can see, I'm very particular about being able to tell *exactly* how much excess time I have on my hands.

Too many complications on that Moser, though.

    Yeah, it’s a bit fussy isn’t it .

Classy set of watches there. Ming Thein designs a mean watch, I must say...

LOL, my take on the lockdown must be opposite to yours, as it swayed towards a one-handed MeisterSinger at one point.

You've got a very specific theme to your liked watches. Quite up the dressy end, which isn't a complaint, just an observation of difference.

I don't think you've spotted what connects all these pictures, those their being dressy watches *is* relevant, I think....

Lol how long does each one take to do?

I prefer simplicity, all them are definitely better with all the additional minute details - take the Ming, as I have that incoming later this year. All those additional markers are faaaar too fussy and would ruin the watch....

I've tried owning watches without minute markers and they drive me up the wall - instead of sensibly thinking, oh it's going on for twenty to, I start trying to work out the exact time. Which takes forever.

I agree that I've ruined that Ming particularly, but that last Stiletto Eco Drive is already fussy with the dial texture, a few little dabs of paint wouldn't hurt. (Nor make it any thicker....)

Hehe fair enough! Does the OCD extend to needing a second hand as well?

It does work for some watches - the Sinn is most definitely improved by it.

I feel uncomfortable co-opting the name of someone's mental illness for the degree of accuracy one prefers when looking at the time, but no, I don't need a second hand for satiating my curiosity. (I do like watching them shimmy around the dial, but that's something else.)

I once had a two hander and I would love to have another one, but, as you can see above, an awful lot of designers presume that if you can live without a second hand, you can live without minute markers.

    Indeed, or one of these

*pokes around down the back of the sofa*

Returning to reality, this was good for me until I had had enough of the dial being silver rather than white

That VC is very pretty. An exercise in exclusion. Nothing unnecessary on the dial.

Silver dials can be hit or miss, sometime white is also a bit too white. I prefer off-white dials (which the VC also nails perfectly) personally. Maybe a reason why my collection only has one off-white/white dial watch.

Even better, a gently glowing mid grey ("dove grey"?)

Actually that's quite a bit darker than mid grey, don't know what you would call it.

[ps I don't think messing around on my phone really deserves the verb "PS" !]

What would your prescription be here - one of my favourite watches - where the existing track is partitioned every 15s?

(The minute hand is long enough, and sharp enough, to make this scale very readable.)
