    a new Rolex Sub....

I just got an email about a new limited edition Rolex. Now there is not a lot to like about it. But I would love the original if it only had two lines!

We have had some similar custom jobs in the past, Pro Hunter etc. Do they sell and who buys them?

What happens when the 5 year warranty runs out and imagine how much Rolex would charge to turn it back into a normal watch. That will be case, bracelet, dial, hands, and crown Sir. Your movement and crystal are okay, but we demand that we do a full service anyway

Yes you are correct. i don't think that they have proof read their website to be fair. The email i got said it was limited to 20 watches, but on the website it says 25.

I think it is a bit of a price on application thing too.

Would folk like Genesis or Watchworks work on them or would they have to refuse them based on their contract with Rolex?

Honest answer is I don't know, but if they are linked to Rolex contractually in any way I doubt they would undertake the work. I'm sure many High Street jewellers or Watch repair shops would be happy to work on them.

I can’t believe there are so many ruined Rolex models on that site. The sub in question is in my opinion horrendous. To each his own I suppose!

I actually like the look of it. However if you wear it out most folk will think it was fake

Yes, I agree with most, it is an acquired taste of a watch.

My preference is too have less writing on the dial though, which watch manages to do. I feel that four lines of writing in the same colour beneath the hands is too much.

Jesus H Christ. Some of the abominations on that site. My eyes!!

I particularly liked the 214270 explorer in DLC with pink 3 6 9 markers. Vomit.
