Thread: Sir David Beckham

    Sir David Beckham

Anyone else watching Beckham on Netflix?

I'm half way through, and so far it's a good watch.

Queuing through the night to see Her Majesty's coffin didn't get him on the honors list, but I think Netflix just might.

    Arise Sir David.

He has been banned from the list apparently, due to his tax arrangements.

I keep expecting Alan Titchmarsh to be a Sir.

Finished the series and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great insight into the world of a pro and a superstar. Even Posh was OK.

Can't think of anything worse. I think he seems a pleasant enough guy, but these kind of programmes are just not my cup of tea.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

His tongue is not quite long enough but he’s working on it.

Finished watching it last Friday night a great watch, I throughly enjoyed it. Posh came over quite well as did Becks and the kids.

I’m only an episode in, but surprisingly really enjoyed it, not being a fan of his or football but liked the way it was done.

Did have a little dig that it took 50hrs of interview to get 3hrs of intelligent content, but wasn’t necessary lol.

It is common knowledge that he was a member of a rather large film production partnership that was structured as an LLP.

As it was an LLP anyone can view who was a member on the companies house website.

HMRC didn’t like the arrangements, but lost in the court of appeal.

Many well known people were members of the LLP…

Including some that have a extra bit in their name, such as…

    Sir, Dame, Lord, Earl!

You could argue that Beckham does more for charity.

Both are equally evasive when it comes to tax affairs, or maybe LH has the edge with his home in Monaco which makes a mockery of Beckham not being knighted for that reason.
