All sorted now correct part on order
Many thanks anyway
Mike
Hi All
I am restoring a vintage 7a38 7190 chronograph and after stripping and cleaning and I am about to replace the new crystal using a new crystal gasket which after reading other guides elsewhere is the correct replacement for the original (Sternkreuz IG318310H), however I am struggling to see how this would fit.
It is too large to sit internally on the crystal bezel and too small to fit around the outer edge of the bezel.
Does anybody please have a photo or can offer advise before I lose my patience.
I have completed all the other prep, case refinish, etc etc and this is now holding me up.
Thanks in advance
Mike

You should join 7A38 site.
Mike,
Speak with Dazzler on scwf.
Perhaps you misunderstood (what I wrote on my forum).
Sternkreuz p/n IG318310H is an alternative replacement crystal gasket that I have used on a couple of my stainless 7A38-7280's.
The correct Seiko p/n crystal gasket for a 7A38-7190 would be 86179152, which is clear (translucent) rather than white nylon (but almost exactly the same dimensions).
