I have achieved a similar look on my Everest Expedition using a jubilee style bracelet from Amazon UK;however i had to bend/widen the endlinks and it was not a breeze to fit, also my bracelet is taper to 18mm clasp but i would prefer a taper to 16mm clasp like the Uncle Seiko specification.
No, no bending the endlinks on the Uncle Seiko one. I did fit the Uncle Seiko bracelet back on my SARB033 and ordered another standard OEM jubilee from Aliexpress (Rolamy). It's fits similarly, although the clasp is even worse than the tin can clasp on the Uncle Seiko (but it's way cheaper though and you can actually buy it, since the Uncle Seiko one is sold out).
As you see the fit of the endlinks is quite good, while far from perfect. With a little bend you might get it even better, but it's fits fine and you don't notice the gap.

Brilliant! Thank you so much for the detail pictures. It is difficult to find decent quality after market bracelets that both fit and look right on the Everest. It can also become costly buying bracelets that no one else has tried or succeeded with. Cheers for your help.

The bracelet I bought from Aliexpress tapers down to 16 mm at the clasp. But the clasp is quite bad, so it's either hit or miss whether is going to stay shut. Mine is fine, but had a similar clasp on another bracelet which was basically useless. I have another aliexpress jubilee coming in to test. Found one with solid end links and hidden clasp. Don't expect it to fit the Smiths everest, but we'll see.

Yes mate, I was shocked when the postie knocked with it this morning, wasn’t expecting it til midweek. The eBayer has received top feedback.

Watch is great, felt small even next to the 38mm Sarb035 I was wearing when it arrived but I’m not used to 36mm watches at all. Few hours later and it feels normal. The finishing and dial clarity are top notch. This and my reluctance to sell my Sarb could delay my BB58 plans for a few months - but there are worse things in life!

Cheers again for the heads up mate👍

Ok one more from me, put it back on the bracelet earlier and been wearing it all day. Hard to put my finger on it but it has a little touch of magic for sure, could be the vintage size. I had a Tudor Heritage Ranger for 18 months because I love this type of watch, but ended up selling as it was too big and I couldn’t live with the straight end links. Alway said if they made it smaller with fitted end links I’d be straight back for one. The Everest is seriously ticking those boxes.

I do love the way it looks on the bracelet. I know some aren’t sure about the rivet but I think it looks perfect.

I am sure in the not to distant future there will be more pictures of the PRS-29A & PRS-29AM because Eddie has received the new stock of them and they will be available at the next store opening.

Yeah cheers, it does look good on wrist, mine is about 6.65” and flat. I have an OP39 which is my kind of dream watch, in terms of design but also the way it wears on me, the proportions etc. Wearing the Smiths makes that feel oversized, even though it’s not.

The good thing is the OP at 39 has a sporty edge, and is the watch I wear most of the time. But the Smiths at 36 is a size that suits its vintage feel and makes a nice change. My intention is to use the Smiths for purpose - as a watch I’ll wear exploring, camping, climbing, cycling etc as we do lots of outdoor stuff with our kids and friendship group. If I had a real 1016 it would live in a safe! So quite cool to have fantastic homage and see it on wrist for the adventures the original was intended for. My assumption was I’d buy it to check out and sell it on immediately, but it’s totally won me over, a keeper.

Still undecided as to whether it’s a keeper for me, trying it out on a nato (Bark & Jack ‘Arrods Green’).

    They're Curta Calculators

They're mechanical calculators; from the Wikipedia page: "The Curta is a small mechanical calculator developed by Curt Herzstark. The Curta's design is a descendant of Gottfried Leibniz's Stepped Reckoner and Charles Thomas's Arithmometer, accumulating values on cogs, which are added or complemented by a stepped drum mechanism."

    Interesting stuff:

How much such watches cost? I have been a fan of the watches for many years. My dream is to start a business selling antique watches. Now I am looking for people who would like to be my partners in this business. I understand that not many people will like this offer, but I am ready to show you some of my ideas and graphic templates on how the website will look and the overall concept of my business. I was inspired by the ideas thanks to this website Crello Unlimited. Therefore, those who are at least a little interested in my idea, PM me, please.

I'm not sure if this is the correct thread, but now that the hands are beveled and essentially perfect on the Everest, has anybody suggested Eddie now turn his attention to the seconds hand? I think a slightly finer tip along with a small circle counterbalance would complete the hands and give this the delicate precision and symmetry it is so close to achieving.

Hi everyone, please excuse my hijackjng of this thread. Can I ask whether there is a member of the forum who would have the skills and be prepared to replace the 29A milky ring, I have the acrylic crystal but my usual watch repairer is not available. I would pay the going rate. Thanks
