Fantastic, if I buy one now I will be covered until I'm 128. Sounds like a deal

It would be funny if it’s not transferable.
    Cheers..

I do like the look of Panerai's, but why the luminosity around the crown guard and on the strap?

Prices are up on Panerai’s site
    https://www.panerai.com/gb/en/collec...n/luminor.html

Quite fancy the Carbotech, so i’ve asked about one, though I feel its one of those watches you have to see in the flesh.

Does it depend on them being OEM serviced every three years? Could work out expensive!

I would think that if it hasn't broken within a few years or purchase then most other issues would be classed as wear and tear or rejected due to a missed or incorrect service.
All in the t&cs I'm sure.

I love the look of these and some interesting new materials though they are getting pricey

I’m really really struggling to find something I don’t LOVE about this. Oh. Yeah. The price. But otherwise.....

I really like all of those....I can even forgive the “automatic” on the dial, still seems so unnecessary on most of the new releases. Put an OP logo or the PIG logo or nothing at all

Oh yes please! I’m really leaning towards a blue Panerai over a blue DJ. Ever since I saw the 42mm Due the lust has been smouldering, that snap has firmly fanned the fire!

Pity about the caseback, looks cheap. Limited info on carbotech - if carbon fibre, is this lighter than steel and even titanium?

A liitle more info about the '70' is included in this article from the NYT:

    https://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/01/f...niversary.html

(I've just noticed the articles's in the 'Fashion' section: bang goes Panerai's credibility again [joke, honest] )

Nice looking watch for sure. 70 year warranty conditional on factory service every 3 years is bollox really.

yeah, they undoubtedly expect to make a profit off offering the warranty by compelling people to pay for in-house servicing.

this reminds me a bit of the "lifetime" warranty on my Jaybird bluetooth headphones that turned out to be for the "lifetime" of the product, which was... 3 years

Lovely, I really need to add a Pan to the collection at some point and the Tron style highlights are really my thing.
