Show us your alternative Expedition straps

I have an Everest Expedition on the way and knowing me, it won’t be long before I start looking beyond the bracelet and included tan leather strap for some alternatives. What have you guys got?

    same here!

I'll be interested to see what -- if anything -- people post, as well. I've got an Everest Expedition coming and expect to keep it the bracelet and/or provided leather for quite a while, but was thinking of eventually picking up something in a soft/pastel color to complement the subtlety of the on-board colors - like maybe the Hodinkee Bedford or Sedona in blue?

    Update...

I'll just post pics of my results cycling through my 20mm bands - got my Expedition in yesterday and it's even nicer in person. OEM bracelet is great - sized quickly & easily. Still couldn't resist trying other options so today it's on a cheapestnatostraps burgundy suede nato (and it's lovely, which you'll see if I can figure out the attachment process - probably a little conflicty with the tone of the second hand / "25 jewels", but it'll do in a pinch).

From Nick Mankey Designs in the USA I wear mine on one of his hook straps in brown, a one piece strap that allow the watch back to sit directly on the wrist whilst allowing it to slip onto the wrist over the hand without undoing every time, very well priced and IMO a great quality.

...great suggestion on the Mankey strap, especially with it sitting flat. Single-pass straps keep the Expedition pretty low-key, too - today I've it on a navy single-pass that complements it nicely:

    Great straps, folks...

A couple more - on a cheapestnatostraps blue suede and some random single-pass... (also, how're you folks putting images directly in your posts? Always seems to leave me with links. (these are from imgur, hence inline))

It's a Watchgecko elasticated MN style one that I don't think is done anymore. Super comfy... I have it on now.

I just got a hold of this exact NATO from seeing this image, did you use curved spring bars? I’m struggling to fit the strap between the spring bars and case.

I didn't, but maybe should have, it is a bear to get in there. I wondered if forcing it through would, over time, fray the ends of the strap. I've never used curved bars - would any 20mm do, or do you have any recommendation?

It may potentially fray it over time. I’m going to lay the strap against the back and fit the spring bars so there’ is no pulling through. I’’ve never actually used curved spring bars either, I know people bend straight ones using the curvature of a spoon but I wouldn’t trust the integrity of them. Can anyone enlighten us on curved spring bars?

Very nice choice. This combination not only suits the watch but just as important does not overpower it.

My current Timefactors creations. Had the 17 for about 12 years now. It has taken a lot of stick in that time, hence the slightly out of line hour hand

And another one courtesy of Watchgeko.
Actually received the wrong strap but after contacting them i was told to keep the existing strap and the correct one arrived a day later. First class customer service.
Crappy bedroom light photos and the strap is actually blue. Will take a daytime photo later.

Yes this is a concern as I always need an XL for my almost 8"wrist, luckily I've found a super soft camel skin XL strap on eBay that I'm very pleased with, infact so pleased that I bought one for my Smiths Expedition as well.

    Again, a very nice combo.
One thing that strikes me about these latest Timefactors creations is the varied amount of straps that really suit them.
