LED strip light fitting advice sought

I Bought some LED strip lights for my daughters room to brighten up Lockdown, they work fine but when I come to use connectors to add extra length problems start - the extra length colours don’t match the first strip colours.
They light up so seem to be Wired correctly & the polarities are the right way around But then extra length doesn’t have the same colour as
    The first length
Any ideas as to what the issue might be much appreciated
    Thx

They should have a K rating which is the color they should all be the same. Some LEDS come with a switch in them to change to different K ratings 3500K, 4000K 5000K etc. look for a switch inside the fixture.

Are you saying that they aren’t the same colours as the first, is it red then the additional bits of tape are green or the colours are just a different intensity but the correct colour as the first part of the strip. I only ask as you mentioned colours so might be totally wrong that you’ve purchased colour changing led strip. If not then JK is on the right lines and the kelvin rating for the lights is different and it may well be a cool white colour not warm white or the other way around. The lower the K number the warmer the light or more yellow the higher the whiter the light colour.

Please find photo attached ( thanks Capt Morgan for the link to the photo upload info )

When I connect one strip to another using the connector shown the colour of the second strip is green when it should be red.
The led has a remote controller that allows for changes to the colours of the lights but they are supposed to be consistently one colour.
So I'm still not sure where the issue lies ?

I’d re check every connector for polarity, I know it sounds the obvious thing and you’ve said you’ve done it but I’ve done it many times and quite often one bit of tape in the sequence is around the wrong way. Is there one driver? Or two with separate IR receivers

That pic looks like the tape isn’t fully inserted under the sprung loaded tabs it needs to be butted right up to the white plastic end stop. Apologies if you were just showing it for demonstration purposes

Try the two light fittings individually, as stand alone units. Are they still different colours?
