    Music over Zoom or alternative?

I've been tasked with doing a quiz for my family this weekend using Zoom. I want one of the rounds to be music intros but i'm concerned of the how to play the tracks and the sound quality etc using Zoom. Has anyone else tried this using Zoom or an alternative?

My thoughts were to share my screen with a Powerpoint - music files embeded in the presentation - but would that then play on the other PC/phones etc?

Any suggestions would be gratefully received!

    Cheers all

Music over Zoom is easy. When you share screen, make sure you check the box at the bottom of the pop-up tab. If you are sharing video, checking the other box will ensure its smoother too.

Enjoy the family quiz - a very good idea. :)

So, embedding the music files into a powerpoint should work then? If so, I'm now happy!!

Yup - if you hear the sound through your own speakers - it will just play it over zoom just fine. You can easily test it out if you share screen on your computer and log on to the same meeting via your phone for instance.

I did exactly that a couple of weeks back for a charity quiz I was hosting.

It's as easy as was mentioned above.

When you click share screen, just tick the box share computer sound...

    And that's it!

    Good luck.

Don’t forget that the free version has a max meeting time limit of I think 40 minutes.

Yep, that’s been our problem with these, having to re login after 40mins. Although there have been occasions where they’ve given us unlimited access - not sure how or why but a godsend when a quiz is happening!
