Well done you. Strangely, I still have a doubt over the OP’s story, not your deductions. Need to put a finger on that.

What are you doubting now please? What needs to be said to be accepted please? Is this some sort of weird cult?! Lol.

TBH, yes! It does feel a bit strange at times. I can see why any member might want to ‘validate’ a new members motives though. These are very expensive, in demand, watches and some have been stung recently.

You don’t seem like the sort to take this too much to heart though and you’ll most likely build up a valid profile over time. I did say in your introduction that the R word can throw up some ‘interesting’ threads.

As an aside, I have to say your own watch isn’t really my cup of tea but seeing as I don’t own anything like it, I can’t really say much. There are certainly some stunners in this thread though.

That's absolutely fine. I can appreciate that. Its not your cup of tea - that's also absolutely fine. At the end of the day I started a thread about gold watches because gold watches are my cup of tea.

Cookie, a word of friendly advice - you’ll need to curb the language. There are no moderators here and the boss doesn’t have too many rules, but he does insist that we keep it clean in Watch Talk....

I’m referring to your Archie Luxury quote.

Cheers Simon. Thanks for the heads up. I am not a guy who often uses bad language so I should be fine. Cheers though

Okay, if it makes you happy I'll reword my comments to 'not my cup of tea'.

If you title a thread 'Show Us Your Treasure!!' you might expect some to assume it to be a light hearted thread as watches aren't really treasure. And shiver me timbers, ye have certainly nailed the tropes.

Sorry if I offended your sensibilities.

No worries mate. It was all said in jest. Be a good read for people to pass the lockdown time! No hard feelings. I couldn't care less what people think about my watch really - the only thing that ever so slightly got me is the lack of acceptance. Felt like the new kid at school haha. No dramas

It takes a while to get accepted, and some things are simply not tolerated.

You seem to be a fairly prolific poster over on Replica Watch Info. This is likely to damage your credibility.

What the hell is this TZUK or that bland, anodyne, featureless, trite, characterless desert of mediocrity that is TRF?

"My mother always said..." God, spare me the clichéd homilies.

Matthew's a gent for changing his wording but in my view the reason this forum stands out, is that it's a haven of free speech. Somebody thinks and says your watch is ugly, flawed, cheap, too expensive, wrong for you, wrong for them - so what!

Aah, so the OP does own the watch... but it’s a fake.

I don’t see a lengthy membership here in your future, cookie...

Looks like the Sub sold on eBay. I hope for the buyer's sake it's real.

Out of interest, and of course you needn't tell me if you're not comfortable doing so, which religion prevents you wearing gold and what's the reason for it? I didn't know there were religions that specified natural products you cannot use. Genuine question with no judgement - I'm just interested!

The adornment of gold and silk are the preserve of Muslim women, but not Muslim men.

Yes, but the silk part is quite hard to avoid when buying ties. Thankfully I don't have to wear ties anymore, maybe once or twice per year and not the biggest of deals.

Thank you. It was big wake-up call back then which forced us to evaluate what was and wasn't really worth worrying about, otherwise we'd have not been able to support the family through difficult times. We received a lot of help, including from a couple of amazing members here who have gone on to become good friends. Of course we do still become disquieted by some turns of events and on key dates, but now the stress feels within control.

I hope that you can find a way to deal with any anxieties, there's no universal solution but I'm happy to share what works for me by PM.

As I highly doubt you smoke weed and it's too early to drink, the ability to generate humour this early must be a reason why any stress and anxiety is kept at bay

Edit to add relevance - a platinum DD Rolex will be my old man's watch. Oh wait only gold rolex allowed on this thread. Oh well, screw the relevance.
