I remember when I was about 9 or 10 going on a bike ride with my mate. We got lost and ended up at Low Street station. The station master put us on the next train back home. Only 2 stops but wouldn't happen now.

My only early memories of branch line trains and stations was the Marks Tey to Sudbury line as my Grandparents lived
in Bures which straddles the Essex/Suffolk border. Sometimes we would get the bus to Marks Tey and then the train to Bures,
