Powermatic 80 GMT - no Hamilton version yet?

So Swatch developed a true (not office) GMT version of it's powermatic 80 movement but as I go slowly out of my mind in lockdown I wonder - no Hamilton version yet?

I believe the H50 is Hamiltons hand wound version of the Powermatic 80.
Heres an article giving a little info.

I didn't think the H-50 was a GMT movement though. The H-50 is their hand-wound 80hr movement and the H-30 is their automatic 80hr movement albeit again, not GMT.

To add to that, all the Certina watches I have purchased have been great quality and exceptional value, the timekeeping of the Powermatic 80 has been exceptional on every one I have had, Mido through to Certina. One of the best workhorse movements available, sadly only in the swatch group..it puts Seikos 4R and 6R firmly in the bottom rank in comparison.
Certina make some tremendous Titanium watches..

Hmm theres certainly not much info about the Hamilton movements and further digging seems to show that it's just a VPH change that has resulted in the extended power reserve. Perhaps that article is wrong? Could well be.

There was a limited edition Hamilton Broadway GMT which was to my mind a bit big and a bit confused as to what it wanted to be. Also I dislike World time bezels without true world time functionality.

The slide rule version above works better visually for me but I'd still like to see a 42-44mm traditional 24 hour bezel version of this movement.

My interpretation from reading this is that it is possibly not the same independent hour hand GMT movement as in the Mido/Certina. The article states that the GMT hand is incremented via the crown, with no mention on an independent hour hand.

I cannot find anything about these models on the Hamilton website and I’m guessing the article author probably has not actually seen the watches...

Yep, my powermatic 80 is the most accurate mechanical i ever seen. I struggled to see a second per day difference against a multiband 6.

Totally agree re Certina. Fab quality for the money and there is a great sale on at Jura at the moment.
