I struck up conversation with one of the Mum's at my son's diving class. Turns out she works for Omega (sadly she has now left) I asked about discounts and she said they were allowed to buy one a year. She kindly let me have her allocation for 2018 and this arrived early 2019:

I got mine from an AD but I got the tags & "coffin" gizmo the watches actually travel in before being "boxed up" backstage at the AD.

She said they are allowed to buy one watch of each brand within the group at 40% discount per year. I bought just before the price increase so effectively 45% off RRP.
May account for a lot of the below list new watches that can be found on eBay?

Why? It only adds a few mm all round in storage and protects the package when shipping.

I know its silly, but I hardly ever buy a new watch and getting some extra packaging was the icing on the cake for me.
