Quality watch stand for single watch

Evening all I am looking for a watch stand to place my watch on at night on a dressing table.

I alternate 3 watches and tend to wear for a week or two then change.

I love the aesthetics of the watch stand linked below but think it’s a bit steep price wise although it looks fantastic quality.

Just looking at other suggestions before I bite the bullet. I did a search which turned up very little thanks in advance.

Think most not these are aimed at women so try looking for ladies bracelet stands or something like that.

    Or could make your own...

Thanks all quite the site Etsy never really used it before.

Still looking though and the watch stand looming ever closer so expensive for what it is in my opinion.

About £7 or £8 odd if I remember rightly...

How about one of the watch display stands used in stores?

The kind with the transparent C-shaped clip. That way when you wake up you would be able to see the watch face.

You could have a nice base custom made out of either metal or a heavy wood like Lignum Vitae.

Is your heart set on a stand? I have an Osprey coin tray on my bedside, it’s very soft leather with a padded base, I find it perfect for putting my watch to bed before I go to bed!
I’ve actually got a few around the house so visitors don’t place car keys on the furniture and so on, they come in very handy if I have to do anything where my watch might get bashed too.

I just leave my watch on!!!

    Following on from this post.......

Having had an hour or so to spare today (there are plenty of those during lockdown!) I took the opportunity to knock up the type of watch stand I referred to below. It had been nagging away at me every time I walked past the belt sander!

I'd ordered some of the jeweller's watch stands from eBay, which turned up during the week, and used an off-cut from a block of African blackwood to quickly put this together.

I am using the PRS-18 as my beater, so excuse the dust!

I may take it back to bare wood and sand it down to get a better finish. I also have some self-adhesive baize on the way to fit on the base. All in all, though I'm pretty pleased with how it's turned out, at least for a first attempt.

I'm tempted now to experiment with some other woods if I can get hold of them - lignum vitae, snakewood and walnut might work well. There needs to be some heft to the wood as otherwise it means weighting the base. I have a lead smelter if that becomes necessary, but using the right wood will avoid the hassle!

This is a nice idea - I have some left over english brown oak which would look nice. I can't find the watch stands you used on eBay - can you share a link?

    Thanks!

    I picked mine up secondhand.

Typically they are advertised as "watch display stand" or "c-clip".

There are some s/h examples here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Skagen-Wa...Condition=3000

    Or these on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01LZMDB..._9wUhFbXP85NA1

The older secondhand ones tend to be a bit sturdier, particularly if made of metal rather than plastic.

Great - thanks. I'll see what I can come up with and I'll post it up (if it's any good )

I always liked these but never got round to ordering one. They were around for ages on the forums but the original 'CP Watch Holder' ceased production. They are now being made by WATCHPOD https://www.watchpodcases.com/produc...-display-stand

Amazon UK are as you might have guesed 'Currently Unavailable' but they're still available on Amazon US. Might have to treat myself...
