*** Virgin hub techie question ***

    Guys ,

My son has just got his virgin line in his new house and he is having problem accessing his Gmail a/c through Wifi.

Does he have to open up specific ports on the hub to allow access ???

    Any help would be appreciated.

Nope, full Internet access should just work if it has been set up properly by the VM technician.
Is it just the one site he's having issues with?

Internet access was ok with just gmail not accessible - uninstall and reinstall of the iphone app required.

This would appear be the case. He said to me that he hadn't changed anything other than the router/hub but people with scant experience of change control wade in changinging switches and settings which often compounds the problem in the first case.

thanks for the input it did help steer me away from the router.
