Help please - dust or something similar under crystal

    Hello everyone

I hope you are all staying healthy during these unprecedented times.

Im looking for some help with my girlfriend’s watch as shown in the photos please.

Basically, the crystal was replaced a number of years ago and there seems to be some dust now on the watch face (between 12 and 3),
    which isn’t exactly ideal.

Can anyone suggest how or who might be able to help rectify this please.

It’s in need of a new battery hence why it hasn’t been worn for a while although as we all do, my girlfriend has now decided she’d like to wear this again but would obviously like the dust issue sorted first.

We’re in Dorset although have no issue in sending the watch away for repair if someone can point me in the right direction.

    Thanks in advance

    Mike

Not sure how the dust got in unless the crown was left open. I would wait until the current crisis is over, take it to a local watch repairer who will be able to remove the movement and clean the crystal. They can change the battery and check the seals at the same time.

Nothing serious here to worry about

Very simple if you know how.

    Remove the case back.

    Remove the crown, stem assembly.

Take out the movement which will have the dial attached.

Clean the dial and then re assemble.
