maybe shouldn't be posting an arrival but i love it sorry

Ok, during these uncertain times buying luxury items could be seen as not appropriate, none essential and I get that. But I couldnt resist pulling the trigger on a bit of a grail watch.I had an original 69 MK2 over 22yrs ago, just after starting to collect watches, mainly seiko UFO and bullheads. The Mk2 was my first big major spend, and at the time I was pretty nervous about spending so much on a watch, that watch stayed with me for 5yrs but then sold it to get a 69 speedy.I vowed to get another but life, kids and other watches got in the way, until this week. The purchase came from vintage watch shop ,i had dealt with Guy a couple of times in the past ,a Tudor sub to rolex sub swap, and he purchased an omega flightmaster from me.Any way, we struck a deal and this arrived this morning,I love it.The case polishing and angles are stunning , the dial is almost 3D in effect, the whole design and construction is top notch, this is a keeper. Some quick and poor pics to follow, but I cannot capture the beauty of these watch

Hey no need for the sorry, if you can buy something then why shouldn't you.

Great watch, i have an original mk2 but really liked these when I tried one on a few years ago, was really tempted at the time. They're really well done and the bracelet is superb.

    Congrats and enjoy that beauty.

I'm sure most can understand your reticence but I agree wholeheartedly with the post above. If you can afford to buy, do so.
If people can safely and comfortably make discretionary purchases in this climate, they should be encouraged to, for many reasons. You may be assisting in keeping a business afloat or a less fortunate person solvent, the knock on financial effects can be significant. In addition, most here will simply appreciated seeing, reading about and appreciating your enjoyment of your new watch, which is little different to how most would have felt a year ago.

Looks nice, especially the 3D effect on that side-angle shot.

Great looking watch and one that is often overlooked.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

This looks great. I presume it’s the modern iteration?
Saw a mark2 with orange accents in a AD window which looked really nice.

    Does it wear large?

orange accents is the racing dial version,no it doesnt wear big and is one of the most comfortable watches I own, which surprised me actually
