    Rolex SS bracelet adjustment

I have an incoming BNIB Sports specimen due this week/early next. I will need to adjust the bracelet for my personal fit, meaning the removal of one or two links. An area I have not before explored. Any tips please? Btw, I managed to adjust the bracelet on my current model Seamaster SMPc without mishap!

Make sure you have the right size screwdriver, the Rolex one is obviously the best but failing that a good quality 1.6mm is needed. Easy with the right equipment.

I removed the links in my ceramic sub with the glasses screwdriver from my Swiss Army knife

Hollow screwdriver, if the link seems it will not budge warm it with hairdryer or do it anyway before you mangle it, the links are secured with red loctite (I think thats the right color?) so buy some loctite too to resecure the links so the screw wont loosen over time.

I generally dip the bracelet in some hot water from the kettle only need 30 secs or so. Let the bracelet cool down and while still warm adjust the screws. Not mangled any since doing this.

Some steam over a kettle works too. Pm me your email address and I can send you the Rolex guide

Buy one of these (or similar) before you go anywhere near a watch bracelet. And some kind of free standing or wearable magnification - though personally, I just put on two pairs of glasses at once!

I have one of those, thanks. Just waiting for the watch to arrive! Hopefully later today.

Did you manage it with no slips or marks to the screw head at all? I’ve never managed it with Rolex and I ended up getting annoyed at seeing scratched up screw heads so I had to take it to Rolex and they changed about 3 of them out for free.

I seem to have managed it, but then the screws were not as tight as I had expected.
PS Excellent work on defeating that scam btw.
