    It's just over 35mm 9 to 3, or 37.9mm including the crown.

Although I collect mainly vintage watches I am not a fan of "patina" to be honest.

Mostly to me they just look like rotten old dials and I try to buy in as good condition as possible.

Of course this is not always possible at a boot sale!

    Cheers,
    Neil.

Of those still in my collection, this one has aged really nicely.

Hands were relumed by Simon Freese to match the dial markers though as they'd turned very dark and had started to crumble. He did an amazing job with the matching!

Some say patina some say manky!

Either way I love this watch.

A few of mine, I like my watches to have a bit (don’t mind a lot sometimes) of wear.

    Foxy100 > that's more like.

I've been looking on Ebay for a beat up Omega or suchlike . Something that looks tatty but works fine.
In other words - something cheap

I bought this 1861 Navitimer largely because of the patina.

Was it really intended for airline pilots with poor eyesight?

Monnin cased Technos Sky Diver 200m:

This came with original tropic, box and outer box. Sold it, but I'm sad. However, luckily I have another with both boxes and papers and similar patina.

Some late 80s patina, with a bit of corrosion green on the pinion end of the hour hand for added interest
