Squale 30 Atmos pan am that now appear to have doubled in price.
Seiko Monster Gen 2 that now appear to have tripled in price.
Steinhart something or other that is now rare.
Seiko 013 that I should have kept for longer before selling.
Omega seamaster 150m quartz that I have not seen in SC ever since
I regret selling any sports Rolex I ever sold....SeaDweller, GMT-2, GMT-2C, Millgaus, Submariner, Explorer, Explorer 2. All of these went for between £1800 and £3200. Should have taken a bank loan to buy the next watch instead of sell the Rolex.
Only one: Doxa 300T reissue Searambler.
Unique one-off with the silver dial, Doxa raffled it for charity. I managed to pry it off the winner after comms over a few years but stupidly sold it on a bit later to another collector.
EDIT for pic:

Only really one and it's not a 'big ticket' watch but I regret selling a Sinn 556 I had.
The big problem is that I bought it for a very good price and sold it on for the same price so now when I see them for sale, even though I know the price is fair, I baulk at paying so much more than I let it go for. I really should just 'get a grip', buy another one and move on.
No, none at all.
I have sold some lovely watches, some of which i may have liked to have kept, but i have always used the funds to take my collection somewhere else that i wanted to go more.
So regrets? None
D
Was looking at this thread earlier and had very similar thoughts. Sold my first "proper" watch, a Tag but since I didn't wear it latterly and can't see when I would have picked it to wear since so can't say that is a regret.
Sold my BLNR but that was to purchase an ALS and I don't regret that either! If the value hadn't risen to a silly figure then I would have kept it but mostly as I wouldn't have been able to consider the trade. Having said that, it is one model I would be tempted to buy back if values realign to something I consider more sensible so watch this space...
I have a policy of never selling a watch and this thread confirms that I have got it right.
Sold three watches, bought all three back. Completely failed as a flipper. Trying it again now, only to finally get a GS snowflake.

Explorer 2 for 2.5k on here. I should have kept hold of it but fancied a change at the time. It was a great watch and I'd like one again now!
Zeno GMT - first watch I bought via this forum and what made me sign up in the first place. Tried to buy it back a couple of times but no joy. Not sure if buyer is still a member on here.
Sinn 857 UTC - not sure why I sold it really.
Speedmaster Triple Date auto. Lovely and only Speedmaster I’ve owned. Again, not sure why I sold it.
my 5711
I've only ever sold one and given one away, both Omega's
the other 42 are still with me
Sold this about four years ago for roughly £3k under RRP. Wish I’d kept it.
Cartier roadster chrono. Not a big ticket item as compared to some but very versatile with the 3 strap option. Miss it

What an insensitive thread to start in lock down. Now I'm ruminating on my loss. You've reopened an old wound...

Awesome watch collection
My MK1 Seiko Black Monster. First automatic watch, really wish I’d not let that go.

I've just raided and now deleted my old Photobucket account.
Why, why, why did I sell this Oris. I've not seen one in as good condition. Big regret.
I should have kept this Junghans a bit longer, I got it for a good price.
This Bulova was practically NOS when I paid £100 for it on Ebay. Eventually sold on Ebay locally but I should have kept it. Great size and lovely details.
A couple:
Sinn 156B and a squale 50 atmos opaco originale...
I wish I could get them back...

The only watch I really regret flipping is this Benarus 38mm Moray - the perfect camping beater. I kind of forgot that's why I got it, and flipped it when downsizing my collection. I need a new camping watch now.
A 16700 to WF for £2.3k
tutima flieger in 18kt gold
ollech &wajs 3066
IWC aquatimer 3536
Daytona meteorite
IWC ingenieur white dial rose gold batons
116655 rose gold yachaster, still the best looking and comfiest watch I’ve owned, also miss my navitimer 01

Been thinking on this recently. A gorgeous Flightmaster that I got serviced, decided it was too nice to wear so sold it.
A Glycine Combat Chrono that I have never seen since selling it to Floyd of this parish in 2011.
More recently I bought a lovely Thermidor Chrono containing a Cal.12 movement which I sold here, think I made a loss on it too.
That Breitling Black Bird was the watch that got me into watches. My boss bought one nearly 10 years ago now and I was fascinated by it. I love the IWC that you sold, that was my favourite of the ones you sold.
Personally I'd love to still own all the watches I've sold, but they've all been sold to fund others and I don't feel comfortable having too much money tied up in them.

16520 Zenith Daytona black dial 1999 model. Sold it a couple of years ago to WF for £15k, which gave me a very handsome profit but whenever I see one I also have that slight regret, it was such a great looking watch.
Couple of Rolexes back in 2006 - obvious reason
2 Dreadnoughts - both were very accurate, better than any other mechanical watch I have had
The one I really miss is a Schauer SportStop - black face, try finding one now.
Rolex Explorer II, 1675 and 16750 that almost tripled in value a few years later. But that’s just money. The ones I really miss are two (I didn’t make this mistake just once but twice!) Enicar Sherpa Jets. Sold the first one because I had two, even though different colour variants. Put the second on Ebay for what I felt was rather a high asking price and it sold within the day. They were hard enough to find back in the day. Almost impossible now.
2 x 321 speedmasters
1675 GMT
The above are just a small sample of watches sold over the years, but these are the ones that still hurt.
Ah well.
Cheers
Jim
The only reason I would have for regretting a watch purchase is because the value of some of them went crazy after I sold them!
Hulk
BLNR
Aquanaut
Daytona
Tintin
Speedy Tuesday
A spectacular 16750...
But I know that the decision to sell at the time was sound and the watches themselves weren't doing anything for me. I'd buy another Daytona but am more than happy with the Royal Oak (and ££s) I traded it for!
The only thing I regret selling, well actually two are gen1 orange monsters, bought one, decided it was too heavy sold it, a year later bought another, put it on an orange divers strap - thought it was too orange, sold it, with hindsight on a black divers strap it would probably have been perfect, look at the prices nowadays.

Green and white 38mm CW trident c60. Never seen another one, regret it greatly. Was a cash raising exercise alas.
Regret selling my Rolex BLNR and GV milghaus. Milghaus the most though. Sold them both at below rrp a few years ago. Wish i kept them.

Speedmaster Omani
Speedmaster FAP
6 other full set Speedmasters
Patek Nautilus 5980
My first ever watch (a gold plated deco waltham)
Life is hard.
Regrets? There’s been a few...
LV.
A beautiful good AP Royal Oak.
My ‘97 Comex SD.
BLNR - but bought they back, thankfully.
Vintage AirKing.
These are off the top of my head.
My first 16750, which was replaced with another 16750 about 8 months later. Seller’s regret.

Luckily Ive got no big regrets but then until recently ive not had anything too special or expensive. I bet many more have watches i wish id bought.
Probably this one...

A policy of never selling a watch sounds like a good idea, because I always end up regretting my sales.
Rolex 16610, Tudor 79090, Tudor BB58, Omega Speedmaster, and IWC 3706 are my top 5, in that order. I only have a couple of CasiOaks at the moment, and can't shake the thought that I should pick up a Speedy or BB58 again some time soon. If I do I'm sure I'll sell them again after 6-12 months and regret it.
Not the worst regrets to have, to be fair. Better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all and all that jazz.
3 regrets
1. Rolex Non-Date Sub (though used money to fund GO Sport Evolution)
2. JLC Master Control Memovox
3. Sinn EZM2
Right now with all that is going on they are first world regrets!
