Rolex stops production until further notice

    Had an email today

Many of the well-known luxury manufacturers in Switzerland have decided to close their production facilities until further notice. This will reduce the availability of popular models from Patek Philippe and Rolex and will make their purchase more difficult in the future.

Well known, but people think that if they talk about Rolex, then good luck (a phone call from a dealer) will come their way.

Fun to watch (see what I did there)

Someone was saying on TRF today that Rolex had asked the Swiss Government if they could re-open again. Anyways who cares, all this means I still can't buy what I want so who gives a monkey's.

Punters will be relieved to learn that the Watchfinder online shop remains open, so no real danger to the supply of essentials.

I’m guessing the production of ANY non essential good made in Europe has probably stopped?

probably not, depends on what you call 'essential good' of course. Online stores seem to be operating and the products they sell have to come from somewhere.

I would say it’s from existing stock or from places that aren’t under lock down, depending on the product.

The bottom is about to fall out of the luxury market anyway. There’s no point producing stock that they won’t sell quickly

I'm willing to pay list price for mint safe queen BLNR's, BLRO's and ceramic Daytona's for a limited time only. Don't delay or you miss the offer.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

There was a time after the GFC when Daytonas could be bought at a discount. Don't forget to pull your offer before this happens or you'll be pounded.
