    Gshock setting question

    Hoping for some help.

    I’ve got a G-SHOCK Gulfman GW9110
Found it in a drawer was as dead as they come been in sunlight for 3 days and showing as fully charged. All good. Except time and date are wrong, I was led to believe these are set through the atomic clock and will auto sync? Any ideas why it’s not done? And/or how to sync it myself?

Autoreceive might be turned off. Holding the lower right hand 'SEARCH' button down should force a manual receive, a quick press should tell you when it was last synchronised. In this mode pressing top left will bring up 'RCV' and lower right toggles autoreceive on and off.

Here's the manual, which explains it a lot better than I do:

Thank you! That solved the time issue. Have reset the date manually, was showing 2005!
I’m donating this watch to my eldest son as his 3rd watch in his collection.

Check it's set to UK time zone. My wife's G-Shock died and wouldn't resynch when I'd left it in the sun for a few days. I noticed that it was set to JPN as home timezone, so it was waiting for a synch signal from the Japanese service. Set home timezone back to LDN and it happily synched itself.

If the battery had fully died the watch will have reverted to its original settings and that means Tokyo will be the Home' city.

You need to set it to your actual 'home', the watch is currently looking for the Japanese signal!

How do you set the home city?

Have a look in that PDF I linked to, near the bottom left of the first page.

    To specify your Home City

    1. In the Timekeeping Mode, hold down top left button, the city code starts to flash. This is the setting screen.

    2. Press bottom left (east) and bottom right (west) to select the city code you want to use as your Home City.

    3. Press top left to exit the setting screen.

    You'll need 'LON' for UK
