We have our first casualty: it turns out that wearing my Presage only when taking my daily exercise was not enough to keep to going. When I picked it up this morning I found it had stopped just one minute before. So that only managed 9 days.

    Still, I'll cry into this:

    Si...sorry for late response
Not having minutes indicators I think it's safe to say that both are 1 min late
Please let me know if you know a better way of doing this
    Thanks
So PAM 932 1 minute behind
    PAM 372 1 min behind

A week in for the two Silverwaves and they are neck and neck at 2s fast.

The white dial is just a bit ahead of the black dial so I expect by next week it will be a full second ahead.

Clearly after a few months the readings from a Panerai will become a bit more meaningful.

I think the most accurate way is to take a photo, with time.is alongside, when the watch is reading exactly 6 o'clock or 12 o'clock. Of course, that's not very convenient.....

  6. #106
Iíll post regularly about the Turtle. Because alas, it is sinking fast! Weíre now 2 mins 45 secs behind. Yesterday it was 2 mins 8 seconds. Gulp. Iíve never noticed how bad it was until now! Will try putting on its side to see if I can redeem it.

I never posted a pic of the mighty Landmaster, but here is the proof, only a second ahead.

    Day 7

    [url=https://postimg.cc/1fQwPqBy]

The Longines is now +18 seconds(in hindsight I wish I'd set it behind as a few here did as I already knew it gains). Gaining around 3 s/p/d which I guess isn't bad for a 44 year old hummer.

The Speedy MK2 I knew kept good time but I never timed it to see just how good. Currently just +12 seconds so a gain of just over 1.5 s/p/d. Extremely good.

End of week 2, day 14. My Seiko manual fell this week - never the easiest thing to wind, especially since swapped into a donor case, the last couple of weeks it's been a real struggle to get it wound and it seems that I wasn't actually winding it properly. Time for it to get serviced anyway. So the first two watches to drop out are my own.

    Happy Easter all.

Check on my GW-5000 and after 14 days itís running at +2. Happy with that.

As promised, another Turtle update. 5 days ago it was 2mins 45secs behind, weíre now at 3 mins 48 secs. So stabilised somewhat at around 12 secs/day. No idea what I did to have such an erratic start though. Maybe I left it on itís side or some other position? I dunno. Anyway Iíll be trying to keep it going for as long as I can to monitor if the 12 secs/day is maintained.

First update for my VHP. +/- 0 seconds. Intermittent wearing along with my other watches, (Longines state accuracy quoted [+/- 6 SPY] assumes daily wear).

I know I missed the gates closing and I doubt the sumo will be kept running all summer anyway so it's just a bit of fun while I remember to check it, but....

Last week I was very pleased to see my Seiko sumo at just +2 but said that it could will be + or - 40 secs the next day as it tends to vary. Well I checked it the following day and it was something like- 15 secs bite just now it's back to just +3 secs. Not bad.... Lockdown and in rotation with a Tissot seems to a be a wear pattern that suits it. The Visodate is doing better than I expected at the moment too, perhaps it is sensitive to wear pattern too.

Was going to wait until the end but boredom got the better of me

    Breitling + 34s
    Tudor + 28s
    Omega - 3s

Notice how I cough that time change on the time.is site as it went from 10.29.59 to 10.30.00

Bet I could not do that again if I tried.
    Cheers,

    Ben

No such rule. But you can drop out anytime. In this case, it was getting a bit pointless, if he is using the clock he probably prefer to set it on time regularly than letting it drift.

My Unitas Hand Wind watch is losing too much time...

Is it allowed to open the back and trim the balance wheel on the time graph?

Exactly SJ. Itís a temperamental thing that I thought had settled after I brought it home for the lockdown. The pendulum is easy to regulate but I canít do that and stay in the game.

Some very impressive performances from some of the watches so far.

At the risk of repeating myself, you would do much better to take the photo when the two-hander's minute hand is pointing exactly at a straight marker, eg 5 past, and then take the reading from time.is, or, even better, take the photo at noon, when the hands are exactly lined

Still managing to have a pattern of wear that is keeping the BB58 on track. Have also worked out how to position the Seiko to gain the time it lost during the previous week.

I know I'm late to this, but is there any chance I can play. The OP was after an 8 day PAM (670).

I don't think I have done anything other than wind it since the clocks changed.

Another Turtle update as it will no doubt be exiting the standings sooner rather than later. Three days ago the watch was 3mins 48secs behind with the watch seemingly stabilising to around -12secs/day. Now weíre at 4mins 52secs so losing around 21secs a day over the past few days.

I had hoped weíd get to some consistent secs/day but alas the utterly erratic nature of the 4R36 is not good (Seiko quotes +45/-35 secs per day). That has been disappointing. Definitely keeps worse time compared to my Monster which has the 7S26. But what more can you expect from an unregulated movement in a relatively cheap watch?

Anyway Iíll try and keep the watch going for a bit longer and will report back.

Sorry guys Iím out. The lure of the RCVD was just too much for me to endure any longer and I syncíd my G Shock this morning. Itís what this watch is all about, precision timing. Isnít it?

    Good luck to the remainers.

ps. on a personal note, Iím happy with +1s/week when out of auto sync mode.

2nd check-in for me to mark 14 days.

Mark II is now at +34 seconds so averaging around 2.5 seconds per day, really pleased with this. I've been fully winding daily but the past week I've also given it an extra wind a couple of evenings when I've thought I likely won't wear it the next day and worried about forgetting and letting it run down. Seems with a once per day wind that sub 2 s/p/d gain is pretty consistent.

The Ultronic actually seems to have improved from first week, now at +29 seconds. it gained 18 seconds the first week and only 11 second week, I think these hummers don't like being adjusted and tend to gain a little when you click the crown back in but will be interesting to see what the gains are next week.
