I'm positive that there will be no problem at all with working voluntarily whilst laid off!

Didn't you say last week that you were going to do some security work?
"Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action."

Because you already told us what you were planning?
https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.p...=1#post5360024College officially closed until further notice, word is it could be september, i will get very bored, ok full pay but rather be working, probs going to get some security work to keep me sane!
What a complete knob jockey, plenty of people needing work to feed their families right now. You should be bloody ashamed of yourself.

You were probably laid off because the whole country is practising social distancing, because of a virus which can be quite dangerous apparently. Perhaps you could be a good chap and stay in like everyone else to help stop it spreading?
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Err, wasn't that the very subject of the OP's rant a few days ago.
https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.php?468977-LISTEN!!
sorry if i opened a can of worms, the job i was looking at was part time security in a local hospital, i wont reply to anymore crass and personal comments.
If you like your job why don’t you check with your employer? If it is security at a hospital they might not have an issue with it.
Whilst I get this a different time, when I ran an events based business it was often very hard to find temporary workers, even when offering well above minimum wage and in areas with high unemployment. It could be that these hospitals have been looking for these roles for a while and not finding it hard to find candidates because people want to isolate. It’s important we keep the NHS staff safe.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
I want to apologise if I upset people, it was not my intention, the work was in the NHS, sorry yet again.
If jimp wants to post a picture of himself working in a hospital within the next two weeks I will put £100 into any charity he chooses.
Is this him? https://chattychimp.co/2020/03/22/nh...-ppe-shortage/
Edit - Misread OP’s name.
Yes it is so easy to put the boot in when behind a pc. Gang hut mentality runs supreme around here.
Yes it was aimed at you and a few others, repeatedly putting the boot in over here is becoming more prevalent and toxic. The Draft Thread was quite rightly hoofed because it got nasty and if this sort of behaviour continues expect more hoofing.
Instead of being nasty all you have to do is point out where you think he is going wrong in a civilised way.
Deleted. Shouldn’t have posted

The point for me is that there are too many people on here who spend their time making snide comments directed at others - lobbing their grenades and then stepping back to watch the consequences. It would be good to think that, instead, these troubled times would see an increase in empathy and togetherness. We're all suffering in one way or another, and sadly I fear that the statistics we're seeing all over the news each day will hit TZ in a very real way before too long. Let's all just be nice to each other.
Just incase Jimp is still Reading this, I don’t think he can take another job anyway, I’m guessing his employer is making use of the governments Employment Retention Scheme, he’s just very lucky that his employer is making up the 20%, but part of that scheme says the employee can’t do any other work.
Jimp if you do find yourself getting bored just volunteer somewhere, plenty of places looking.
