    Unappreciated gift

When I was newly married, I bought this Rolex for my wife. She didn’t talk to me for days. I still don’t know why:-)

I would have liked to have seen the engravers face.

The simple ruth is that you assumed that she likes watches because you do. How would you feel if she gave you a marriage present of say a hatpin just because she was into them.

WISs are rather arrogant in this respect and it is entirely reasonable for her to be miffed.

Sorry but you are not seeing the point. That message could have been written on a card and she would have appreciated it more.

    Don't worry Rajen, I understand.
I use a similar ruse but substitute "my present wife", just to keep her on her toes.

LOL, that's very funny. Not sure I would be brave enough to give it to my wife.

I always liked my first wife - bought her a watch too :). Not sure I’d have been brave enough with that inscription though lol

Today is/would have been our 21st anniversary. Still very good friends to this day.
It's just a matter of time...

I am married to a woman with a sense of humour. She would be ok with the message but the fact I put it on a watch would be an imposition.

Yes - Momentous announcement, The Government will now allow two people in a car providing the passenger sits in a rear seat on the opposite side

We had the pool cleaner in yesterday. He cleaned the pool whilst we stayed inside with the patio doors closed. Everyone takes it more seriously out here. No cyclist or dog walkers to be seen.

Therefore we are going to stay in Spain.
