    That does look rather nice.

As someone who likes vintage styles but doesn’t want to get involved with older watches, I’m liking the general resurgence of vintage lines. I reckon Breitling saw how well Longines and Hamilton did out of this trend and have copied. Prices will be ridiculous though, especially as vintage Top Times could be had relatively inexpensively.

Dial looks good, but €5k is pricey - and online only so very little movement on price. And 2000 of them, not that limited. Lastly a variant of the 7753, for €5k the in-house movement Breitling use would have been nice.

I like this a lot, although I wish they had kept it to the original size, or closer at least.

it looks a bit like the Tudor Heritage chronographs from four years ago. I think they were priced around £3k, so this seems expensive in comparison.

Very true. Think I prefer the Tudor Heritage Chrono, particularly as they have often come up in sales in the low £2000’s price bracket.

The better looking (and cheaper) version? Pic stolen from the interwebs.

Great looking piece.. would have preferred it remained true to the original in size.
Limited to 2000 I’m sure it will prove very popular.
Really liking what the brand has been turning out in recent times.

For a Breitling, £4100 doesn’t seem that steep these days as RRP.

for a breitling chrono just over £4k is not too bad. I personally do not like to pay list price for anything other than perhaps Rolex, but it is for a sure a good looking watch.

The Tudor Chrono I managed to pick up for £1.85k in a place in Bournemouth a couple of years ago as they were getting rid of their Tudor range.

I had a vintage Top Time...much better looking than this reissue.

Here is the model I owned:

    The Breitling Top Time Returns

Long lugs, nearly 15mm tall and mainly dial, so I guess this is going to be wearing on the large side.

Great looking though, and you gots to pay extra if you want a James Bond watch of course.

Love the watch but like the recently released 765 it is 41mm which makes it easy for me to pass. At 39mm and a bit thinner I would likely have jumped on it.

Slightly odd re-issue from Breitling there.
The colour is very rare in the original, AFAIK. Even if there were some coloured ones, most of the originals were monochrome. There are 78 Top Times for sale on Chrono24, 1 has this Sector dial design.
    Centiminutes? WTF? No-one uses Centiminutes?
I have a feeling that both of these details are intended to distance it from the Hamilton, which otherwise knocks the Breitling into the weeds, in terms of a stylish re-issue.
But also, why is the seconds hand counterpoise so short?
Why are the pushers so skinny?

No, it's a fail from me.

Not convinced about the colour scheme but I can see they may introduce more options if its successful. I have one of the originals too and on the whole I prefer that I think and it's a bit smaller.

Prefer original 1960s chronographs which are more charming, my zenith from 1968.

If going for a modern vintage remake, I also prefer the hamiltons, better looking range imo and also uses the 7753.
