Now these are going to fly off the shelves so Eddie rightly couldn’t give a toss whether I get one, therefore this isn’t a dig at him, merely an explanation as to why I’m actively looking at alternatives.

It’s a huge shame for would-be owners they aren’t more easily available from TF.
Same moan different watch, we're all in the same boat, a bit like another brand with a crown logo.

I think the black one will be very popular but I like the orange. Another very nice watch Eddie

Do I remember rightly that this has a taper bracelet?

Seeing as how the latest email confirmed watches due in June .... are any pics available of the latest/final orange and yellow versions?

Just saw on the email that this is finally coming in June. Almost had lost hope.

Eddie, will you offer stand-alone bezels? Could see an interest for additional blue or black bezels for the yellow and orange dial models.

^^^ This. Although with my ham fists I'd also need someone on the forum to help me fit /re-fit them!

That's not a plan, someone else working like me did this and said he'd never do it again. Too many disasters followed by cries for help.

Given the number of people doing bezel or inlay swaps on their Rolex? Couldn't it be solved by stating it is work that should be done by a watchmaker?

Its a nice idea but in reality probably not worth the hassle for the supplier (or the customer!). I've swapped a few inserts on Seikos but never can decide which I like the look of most - I'm now of the opinion that original is usually best.

Any pics of the final dial colours for the orange and yellow?

Presumably, there's a minimum order on things, so I could see Eddie being stuck with loads (say) of blue bezels with no market.

Seems to make little commercial sense - This isn't a Rolex scale market!

Now that is disappointing ..... again. Its like one of those dodgy Kickstarter sagas. Hopefully it will be worthwhile when/if it does finally arrive.

There's nothing dodgy or Kickstarter about it, you haven't paid any money and you won't be getting one anyway.

More child-ish than Yorkshire-ish I'd say (not like all the Yorkshire lads I've grafted with over the years)- the Kickstarter thing I was referring to was the ongoing delays in delivering the watch, not the money side ... but never mind - one thing there is no shortage of is watches to buy both new and used - I'm sure I'll manage somehow ...if I find myself lying awake at night desperate for one then there is always the used market - us Scots do like a bargain...

Well, there is no doubt his watches are pretty well priced as microbrand homages go ...and no doubt there will always be people trying to flip a watch for a quick few quid. Sellers are free to ask what they want but what they can get is often very different ... we are talking just a few quid either way (even the last few PRS14s which are 'sought' after, crown issues and all, aren't what you'd call expensive used) - they are not a Rolex after all and there is a limit for Chinese made homages no matter how attractive. The extra 20% plus costs for overseas buyers has also been having an effect on the prices UK private sellers can actually achieve. Anyway, I'll log out now and leave it to you now that I've put Mr P in a huff. Enjoy them when they arrive.

I've been shipping out some watches to make way for the blue Caribbean that I've decided will be my next purchase. Eddie told me this morning that he has a "vague July" delivery date so I'll anticipate an August release for now.

I may be the only one of us waiting for one of these who's delighted they won't be available when the shop opens on Sunday. It's my wife's birthday and me ducking out of the celebrations to manically hit "refresh" on the browser wouldn't end well for me.
Also, I STILL cannot decide which colour I want...

Similar here, unsure whether orange or yellow/blue.

I am really looking forward to seeing the photos of the revised yellow / orange versions with black hands & indices. So that I can make my decision as tp which one I fail to secure in the alloted 2 minutes.

    Miyota ?

It's a bit like putting a Fiat engine in a Jaguar to bring the price down: nothing wrong with the engine, you just don't expect to find it in a Jaguar.

The originals didn’t have anything special powering them, and in some ways a Miyota is a better movement.
Putting an ETA or SW in the watch would still be an off the shelf unremarkable movement so it makes sense to save a bit and pass the saving on.

You're not going to find any British movements, though...

The orange dial / blue bezel is what first attracted me to this piece.
