What a wonderful example of Longines offering to the Ministry of Defense and ultimately to become one of the Dirty Dozen. I don't have a photo of what I am wearing but it is the Serica WWW WMB Edition and is hats off rendering of the WWW watches of WW2. You can check them out at www.serica-watches.com/en/

Indeedy - the lack of activity at the moment, means that I prefer a manual wind or quartz. I've got plenty of G-Shocks to keep me going but I've been wearing my ever faithful and accurate PRS-29B. After four days, it's 1 second fast, which I very much admire.

Not strictly military, but this Soviet era Komandirskie of the sort sold to Red Army soldiers in their equivalent of the NAAFI.

Some brilliant watches in this thread, especially the Greenlander in the opening post. But this is especially impressive and rare.

Not an issued watch but it痴 first owner was in the USAF and it was bought from the PX when new.

Out of curiosity, what military Vostok watches did the Russians/Soviets actually wear? I have not seen any images of Vostoks being worn by the military compared to pictures of the Gagarin watch, Agat Zlatoust etc.....

I don't think Russian ground troops were issued with watches - there is nothing in Ziggy Wesolowski's book (except a mention of BOCTOK watches, like mine, being available for purchase by soldiers), nor any mention of Russian military caseback markings in the reference pages.

I don't have any words to describe any of the Dirty Dozen, especially the Timor. I backed the re-issue of the Timor Heritage Field watch and can't wait for it. I know it is not the original but it will have to do. Enjoy that special watch.

CWC RN Diver Quartz, brushed case. Too dark for a photo but to the eye it痴 just excellent.

Thank you both. I'm sure you'll really enjoy the upcoming Timor homage when it comes through, despite a couple of details I wasn't keen on I do think he's done an overall fantastic job with that one and it has the advantage of not having to worry about damage as you would an original.

    Moeris ATP

My oldest military watch today, the ATP watches were issued before the WWW watches and were actually worn during WWII.

Correct. All of the Dirty Dozen are from 1945. Just in time to miss the end of WW2

Wow that is stunning. I really must get myself a military style watch, it's the only thing missing from my collection at the moment.

Keep coming back to Eddie's Smith's too.

Can I ask if this watch has the standard MOD markings on the back? Are there any additional markings or engravings?
The reason for asking is the hands are obviously not original to a W10 or 6b but they are very similar to the hands found on the KAF marked Hamilton G.S. As such it might go some way to explain why the these KAF G.S. have a unique handset.

    Cheers in advance.

I知 unsure whether these are the standard marks. Would welcome any thoughts from those in the know!
