TZ Coronatime domestic tips and life hacks!

Inspired by a post just now from Mr Curta on the Baked Bean thread about storing your cans upside down, I was reminded of this one I realised years ago:

If you have baby wipes or cleaning wipes in your house, store those packets upside down too before you open them. That way the moisture permeates to the sheets in order that you use them, and then back down once you opent the pack so you don't end up with dryer sheets first and soggy ones at the end - if that makes sense.

    It's the little things!

I am sure that many of the domestic gods here present must have other little tips they can share to help us all in these times?

So clever my foot fell off.

Well with so many families at home all together - things can become dirtier faster

If you want to save some time and effort removing stains in the bowel of the loo drop a steredent tablet or supermarket equivalent in the loo last thing tonight

You’ll wake to a spotless pan!

Call me old fashioned, but if my turtle smashes its head off the bowl, I brush it away at the time.

Me too but I also syphon the water out of the pan and add a layer of carnauba wax and buff it to a high sheen.

Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

Reminds me of the old saying, “If it’s brown, flush it down - if it’s yellow let it mellow.”

Yeah, I think I’d be ‘re-educating’ anyone in my household that left a mess in the toilet for another person that lives there to clean up.

Well, the other old saying I was going to quote was “one up, one down, one polish”!

Massive concern in the household regarding the availability of Yorkshire Tea. Ordered a big bag (1040 bags) off EBay for less than £30, delivered in 2 days and everyone was once again happy.

    Ebay can be your friend.

As an avid cider drinker, I have an over-riding maxim "when it's green - best not seen".
