Stupid question: Adding a signature

I've been trying to figure out how to add a signature but it's defeated me. Can anyone explain? Many thanks in advance.

I simply wanted to say that if my post has been edited ten times as usual, it's because I've been touch typing on an iPad!

Your signature will not show until you're Grand Master (10,000 posts I think)

But otherwise: Go to settings and choose edit signature on the left.

Unfortunately it's also automatically added by Tapatalk when people post from there - hence the proliferation of "Sent from Tapatalk on my <outdated piece of crap>" signatures that we see. It can be turned off (or changed) in the Tapatalk settings, but sadly few seem to bother.

There is a prominent poster on WUS with about 30 watches listed, then add in the Orange Monster Owners Club badges and the like and you end up with most of the page taken up with info nobody cares about.
I seem to remember it gets picked up in searches too, on some forum software at least.
