Best amateur & unknown musicians on the web - a passing the coronatime thread

I thought it might be nice to pass some time by enjoying some of the best amateur musicians to be found online.

I'll kick off with Laura, and her version of Canon Rock. It's been viewed 86 million times, so you can be sure it's pretty good...

i'll add a different instrument - patrik pietschmann playing interstellers main theme -lots of stuff on his youtube channel .

    * i guess this is more of an unknown artist rather than an amateur as anyone that plays like this i would not consider an amateur

    Great tracks so far :)

Here's one from me. Sina covering Cozy Powell. I love the original - part of the soundtrack of my youth

She doesn't do badly considering Cozy had help!

Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

I nearly posted this before setting on the Cozy Powell cover. I always enjoy it and the lyrics are all too pertinent for so many at the present time.

Not exactly unknown as he is the drummer from system of a down coupled with m. Shadows from avenged sevenfold but I’ve been listening to his cover of street spirit a lot lately.

Not really unknown (I know now that he's been in Billy Cobham's band, for example), but unknown to me:

I've walked past this guy hundreds of times locally. I didn't know or care that he was a guitarist; then I saw him in this Maggie Reilly video:

    That led me to this:

I said to my jazzer mate to look out for it. He watched it & told me, 'That's Davie Dunsmuir. He was my son's guitar teacher.'

The absolutely best ever Beach Boys cover band ....

Amateurs all, but so good, they even managed to recruit a few gnarly old backing singers ....

Great thread, I watch these for hours without realising. There's a shop in LA where some unbelievably talented guitarists go called Norman's rare guitars which you can see on youtube.

    However .....

Check out the young Japanese drummer Yoyoko on YouTube - her Led Zep covers are amazing.
The fact that she's nine years old is even more amazing.

theres some amazing 'unknown' acoustic guitarists signed to the candyrat studios ( just search 'candyrat guitarists' on youtube ) - 2 of my favourites are ewan dobson and antoine dufour.
*you can actually get webcam lessons from antoine dufour, though you are going to have to be a pretty advanced guitarist to start with
