Have been walking the dog in a quiet spot for the last year and don't see many others, over the weekend there were lots and lots of folk about, many in groups. Today it has thankfully returned to normal, perhaps the message has now reached home.

Just watched the news, some guys in London in a group training outdoors, the interviewer asked about their responsibility to other people, one guy said I'm OK, he didn't care

Jim language mate it's the G and D remember.

jimp, your daughter is a heroine. I spend a huge amount of time in hospitals, surrounded by workers who never cease to amaze me with their selfless actions. They are heros and heroines, every single one of them, every single day but even more so now. I would be equally proud and worried if it was my daughter. I wish you and your family all the best.
As for dog walking, well we’ve got a dog and live in the middle of nowhere. As one of the 1.5 million, I can’t walk him now but I imagine it’s far from the life affirming, stress free experience it’s been all of my life. Now really isn’t the time for a dog owners vs. the rest discussion.
Look after yourselves and everyone else by doing your bit.

Context. What a bizarre notion.
Cheers mate, I'm very proud she trained a long time to do the job she loves, I feel the government need to take drastic action against group's like this

Ha ha, belter Jim. Stay safe and all the best to your Daughter.
People have been really stupid. Yesterday a number of joggers ran past myself and my family (from behind). The first came too close and the rest I told to mai rain 3 metres.
I am off to St. George’s today. My wife has pre op bloods for a major operation that is scheduled to go ahead on the 7th (brain tumour). We have been waiting since November and can’t wait much longer. This could not be happening at a worse time. She is otherwise healthy but will need to be in ICU for a week after. They have not cancelled it yet, I don’t know if we should try and wait it out but obviously there are consequences and risks.
I am getting so angry with these idiots. If you have not been tested then you don’t know that you don’t have it. So stay away, and keep your kids away too. Perhaps I should start carrying a 2 metre stick.
Rob please please please stop going out with your family and have someone do your shopping and drop it over to you. It is the ONLY WAY to ensure none of you come into contact with this. In your wife’s situation none of you should even be considering leaving your house / garden.
Walked with another dog owner this morning. Must have respectfully kept at least 3m apart if not more, didn’t need to discuss the fact. Enjoyed the open countryside, beautiful sunshine (good for your immunity), dogs socialised and enjoyed the spring fever.
Listening to all the doom and gloom, couldn’t think of anything better for my soul and mental wellbeing than walking my dogs.
No need to let the very few tarnish the common sense of the majority.

“Don’t look back, you’re not heading that way.”
As per the governments advice I've started working from home.
Hiring out my dog an hour at a time to locals for walking.
Win-win.
