Stuck at home entertainment ideas films,TV,Radio.share recommendations

I thought it might be an idea to gather all the various ways of keeping ourselves entertained with TV,the internet etc.

if it was the 1970s it would have to be a book exchange with neighbors, what with TV having just a few channels,no video and the library closed.

To start I found Sony movies classic last week on freeview no50

yesterday I watched Jack Lemon in The Wackiest Ship in the Army (film)

there was also road to movies with Bob and Bing, I love those reminds me of childhood.

Then I recorded the color of money for today.

I bought an Xbox. Not the best use of time but certainly a distraction in the evening.

If you like listening to the radio, podcasts are great - listen to whenever you want. Search by topic of interest and be amazed at the number of them available.

I'll probably buy red dead 2 for the xbox.

However I spend enough time as it is in front of a screen, so I plan to try and take the time to work on some hobbies like leatherwork or shooting.

I got one free, as a bonus for signing up for BT fibre to premises broadband. It came with Forza Horizon 4. At the current rate of progress I'll have shuffled off this mortal coil before I get anywhere near finishing the blasted game.

It's a long time since we've had a gaming console in the house, but my, this thing is light years ahead of the Playstation we used to have.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm not even 35 and had nightmares trying to figure it out. More complicated than I was expecting. I'm only playing COD on beginner while I figure it out but could be some TZUK multiplayer games at some point hopefully. I've got my headset ready!

VR headset - if you have a decent PC, Oculus Rift S or Valve Index. If not a decent PC, Oculus Quest.

Great for indoor gaming that doubles as exercise!

I've never done any 'binge-watching' in my life and Netflix is -apart from Better Call Saul- terra incognita for me! So, I started this self-lockdown with the first two episodes of The Crown on Netflix. I don't know how you Brits see this, but it has me on the edge of my seat. Wonderful! Two episodes in, and 28 to go.

You can download loads of Audiobooks for free and listen to them whilst doing more productive activities.

Podcasts is a great idea as above if you want to pass the time and get really into something! Some Ive been listening to recently:

    Serial
    Off menu
    Saw bones

Also Ive gotten back into reading a little bit, just read "Ready Player One" and if you've seen the film, the book is even better! Well worth a read
