I`m out socialising earlier in the evening, I`ll try to make an appearance but might be quite tired.

You can drink my share, as I am doing a 1,200 calories a day menu this week.

Although haven’t read the small print to check if that excludes alcohol…🤔

Another very enjoyable vGTG. Thanks all.

Just to emphasise these fortnightly events are open to anyone who wants to join. Tonight’s “newbie” was FrankyFourFingers…..it’s always great to put a face to a ‘virtual’ friend!

Clearly late to the party thanks to some dodgy hardware but good to put some faces to the names, ugly bunch you are at that. Thanks for the invite and great to meet all present!

Sorry all I'm at a (virtual) conference tomorrow night - can we postpone for a week? [Alternatively go ahead without me and sing my praises / slag me off in my absence!]

Hope she’s ok - didn’t know you could catch covid via zoom calls - unless on 5G? Sadly I’ve been doubled booked (but still triple jabbed) - I’m doing a roast dinner for friends here so won’t be able to attend this time. Have fun!!

OPEN TO ALL 700+ TZ membership!!

That would be some Zoom call! But Martyn is right - these vGTGs are open to all, and we have someone new join us at most occurrences.

I should be there next time. Good way to keep in touch. Should the frequency be changed now that “Covid has been done?” ( though still seems like 100s are dying per day within 28d of contracting it) - sorry redact that last sentence as irrelevant.

I’m happy to go with the popular view re: frequency, recently I’ve not been able to make every two weeks in any case.

Now that I’m PCR positive I can confirm that my covid symptoms are very similar to the after effects of consuming copious amounts of cider and Ardbeg at a vGTG, or the day after you watch a terrible United performance whilst drinking a bottle of red wine.

    Funny that.

Whatever happens in the real world, I hope that the vGtG Zoom meetings continue.
As our analogue social lives expand, there may be at some stage a case for lengthening the period between Zooms, but I would be happy to pledge my support for at least one virtual GtG per month. We can't all pop in on the tram to the fun-packed meets in our chosen venues, and it is great to meet with the further-flung TZ members, even if just virtual.

Once a month is a bare minimum. Otherwise the whole vGTG would just be looking at all the watches Martyn and Shoppy have bought in the intervening period!

Youngest Daughter is brand new. I’m just gutted I can’t watch the older two play football today, apparently the middle daughter just scored!

I’ll feel better if United women beat Arsenal women and make up the mens’ poor performance last night!

Hope that you feel better Kirk; I finally got Cv19 after managing to avoid for two years. Out for 13 days still feeling the after affects now. It would be great to see you all in person but also enjoy the vGTGs.

Hopefully you suffer no further symptoms; my fist few days felt like a terrible port hangover.

As for watches been good so far this year only purchased 4:)

Oh no. I seem to have those symptoms every day now something to do with 1 bottle (actually decent) PT wine costing just 1.85€, mixed with port and perhaps a couple glasses of cider for lunch does the trick...
