^^^ I agree Mark.
I should add martial arts instructors to my impressive list.
If Raffe does join the vGTG I'd love to spectate. Could even make it a Vs with £5 entry pay per view going to the fundraiser
Raffe has joined us a few times. And he has always been a Gentleman. Macca has also joined us a few times, and has also been a Gentleman.
I’m sure we’ll have no issues when both Gentlemen join us at a vGTG.
As an aside, a few of the forum’s more ‘interesting’ characters have attended the McrGTGs and they are brilliant in real life, and everyone always gets on.
^^^Wrong answer.

^^^Right answer.
I'm not convinced. I've just asked my brother and sister in law as they're two of the smartest people I know (vet and a teacher at a private school) neither think it's a swearword. Both admit it's not compliment but not a swearword either.
In the collins (online) dictionary it has two meanings - one is considered offensive the other very offensive -> here I guess if it depends if offensive = swearing.
£5 cost to the fund for an argument btw!

What has smart got to do with it? Plus confused by the use of your qualifier that being a teacher at a private school somehow implies that they are smarter than a state school teacher! In fact, they can even be less qualified due to the less stringent employment criteria!
Anyway that’s by the by and T*** is most definitely a swear word and a Northern relation to the C***word.
Call someone that on a night out in Wigan and see what happens!
Unless you meant to type Twit, of course!
There may have been some slight exaggeration going on......and anyway, it was Graphite.
That might be a good challenge - first to have a slow worm on a vGTG. Or an MX5. Or a suitably-adorned letter box. Display the forum spirit.
That's a good shout, Macca. I hope the powers-that-be are monitoring this.
Another vGTG tonight Gents?
United are playing tonight so I’ll probably start you all, watch the first half, then return when you’re all a bit more ‘tired’.
Q of the week: “Favourite thing that’s not a watch you’ve bought from SC over the years?”
Dress code: one for Martyn or Alec!
OK with me; not bothered about a dress code, let's just enjoy the experience.
I’ll be able to join about 9pm I think, have plenty of unusual SC items to go at too

I'll aim to join later on & I currently have 2x Mx5s ;-)
Beer in fridge.
Looking forward to it.

Soz chaps, currently away.
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
Sadly I won't be able to join you all tonight.
Not sure I'll have much to contribute to tonight's topic, I've only ever bought a watch from SC. An abuse of the facility I know but I have enough crap of my own without adding to it.
Enjoy your evening.
Another fun vGTG. No new faces this week (unless I missed someone whilst I was watching the football!) but good to see the return of some stalwarts.
As an aside, we need to think of a suitable venue for an in-person Manchester GTG. It has to be secure, with real ale. Advice via PM welcome! Sometime in July might be best.
Apologies for missing this one.
Another great GTG chaps I fear if the theme next week is things we cannot be bothered to fix that Martyn and his boiler will take center stage again
