Today I have been told that Covid 19 was invented by America and released in China to have the world turn on them, taking away their "superpower" status.
I have separately been told almost the exact reverse, that China was planning to release it to America but it "got out".
Later I was very sagely informed that Huawei (phones, internet etc) manufactured and released it to spite us for not letting them built our 5g network (complete with their spying software).
The woman in the shop next to mine, who I thought was fairly intelligent, has also been convinced that this is the beginning of a global biological warfare designed to destabilize our governments in preparation for a China/Russia attack on us and America.
I despair some days. If this truly is the end of humanity, maybe it's just the right time for it...

I think is the preppers around the world who designed it so that they finally start using their stocks and different survival plans
IF (and I'm not REALLY suggesting this is the case) Russia wanted to cripple Britain's economy, fixing the Brexit result and then releasing Coronavirus would certainly seem a pretty effective way of doing it!
If they're happy to send assassins with neurotoxins into a sleepy British city, something that will just make most people mildly unwell, but cause chaos, seems like the easy option to take!

Remarkably generous of them to the Japanese if they do want to make the Yen stronger. It'd be unhelpful for China as well bearing in mind the pile of dollars they are sitting on.

As other have said, its not over yet, but there is no point arguing or being bitter, any country/bloc will be doing well to come out of this scenario with some sort of economy intact.
My feeling is that we were one of the big three contributors to the Euro, any bailout would be very expensive for us, thats after paying huge amounts to get ourselves through this crisis.
Brexit is well and truly on hold, probably ending with a no deal if Boris sticks with his end of year deadline.
