PSA - TT Rolex Professional models

AD just had a good delivery (and suspect with the current climate, that might be the case for a lot of other ADs in the UK). But thought I’ll post here in case anyone is after: Two tone blue/black sub, two tone black/white Daytona (without diamonds), two tone sea dweller.

They have a short list of interested people for each one of these so I’ll do my best to put anyone interested here in touch with them. None of these watches are on display atm.

PSA - TT Rolex Professional models

I was offered a TT Sea Dweller in November by just walking in off the street and having to the salesperson in DR Liverpool.

This was just as Rolex prices were softening and well before Coronavirus and the stock market crash.

Unless you are after a particular model that you know is a keeper, I wouldn’t be buying any TTs at the moment, unless you want to lose money if you decide to flip.

Agree with your view. There is still some demand for some of them (eg the Daytonas) and some buyers will still be in a relatively good position to buy watches without worrying about flip value. So thought this could be of use to some.

Seems TT is all we are allowed in the UK.

Saw a lovely 2nd hand air king while out and about today. Will keep a watch on it for a few days to let the dealer soften up.

Could be worse... beautiful things, and bought this one as a keeper (for anyone not sure, thought some porn might help)...

Lovely watch Tony, but you define "keeper" differently from the rest of us. :)

I would if I could, but I sold the Daytona after I bought this. In terms of a comparison I far prefer this one (so shoot me) and I decided that the Overseas Chrono is more than adequate to fill that particular slot.

On the subject of Daytonas more generally, I always end up slightly underwhelmed by the older models but I have to say that the ceramic is just about my perfect watch. I’m still hoping I can find one at reasonable money at some point in the future.

Rolex’s current range of wrist haberdashery at its worst.

...maybe lucky we don't all like the same thing?

I like most Rolex tool watches in SS but that's me.
I'm not averse to a gold watch either. I've always admired the Rolex day date as a gold watch.

There is almost a watch snobbery about stainless steel these days, if it ain't in steel, it ain't no good. I've had an OP, two Daytonas and a Sub in TT and all were great. I would even stick my neck out and say I like the new TT SD - there, said it

I was on a list for a Bluesy Sub and
the call came today. Not sure what to do, I love the watch, but the worlds a VERY different place at the moment. It’s not just the money it’s also about travelling to pick it up if I was to go ahead with it.

There would be a certain irony if ADs windows were full of SS sports models that no-one would go to the shop to buy

it's best to ship the watch down to your address not a safe time to travel

Friend of mine bought the bluesy in my AD. Very nice watch and I was very close to buying it myself. When he bought his bluesy, they’ve already sold the TT Black Sub and TT Black Daytona.

I think a TT is an older person’s watch too! Never gave them a second look tbh, until we bumped into a couple of chaps in the pub, one in short sleeves with a 16613. It suited him and I have to say it looked good. We chatted about it for a while. He told me he never wore it, then one day it dawned on him life’s too short and now wears it all the time. He’s in his 60s as well.

I don’t think it’s an old persons watch I was 32 when I bought this, (unless that is old)

Both my first and second Rolex were TT, datejust then yachtmaster, each with white dial. That was some 15 years ago and as I get older I fancy them less. A friend has a CHNR which is nice, and I tried on a seadweller recently, but don't see myself buying one.
I do fancy an all PM on bracelet tho.
