Thread: Bremont Project Possible LE

    Bremont Project Possible LE

Another Bremont LE, another pricey LE - roughly $6695. Eye-watering when you consider it is equipped with an ETA 2893. Astonishing really.

Anyway onto the watch - based on the S500 titanium, with a bronze bezel and ceramic insert. Think I'll stick with my Dreadnaught Voyager over this to be honest.

BUT I do want to highlight Nirmal "Nims" Purjal. He really achieved something amazing in conquering all 8000m in less than 7 months. And Bremont played their part as sponsor, so kudos to them. The Hodinkee article has a podcast and some articles relating to the man's achievements. If you are unaware of him, go do some research! https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/th...on-introducing

Looks like they've released that two weeks early.

No, the price looks like an April Fool.

Ha. Sorry too slow! Probably trying to recuperate some of that sponsorship cost! And no doubt pricing set pre corona!

It’s the annual release of new watches. I am guessing no townhouse event this year. The new ALT-C is quite nice

Of the 3, the Alt1-C is looking the best in my eyes. I'm not too fussed on the others.

Gold bezel and hands would have been better, especially at that price.

Looks ok. I prefer the standard model and the Terra Nova more.

I like the design but it's let down by the hands, the radiused edges of the polished ones make it look like it's had a set fitted that have been sourced from ebay. A shame really because with a better engineered set of hands it would look spot on.

I heard they’re planning a very special LE with a tiny piece of Andrex toilet tissue inside......if they can find any.

Absolutely, his mountaineering achievements, as well as those of his team, are astonishing. I'm very much looking forward to viewing the film on Netflix.

From my knowledge , he is known as pushing things to the far side of extreme . Successfully he is , luckily.

I wouldn't say he's that extreme - he seems quite calculated and emphasises a lot that he doesn't take undue risk. He wants to ensure his team stay alive. I tried to get tickets to the premiere showing, but it clashed with another even I had unfortunately. Can't wait to watch the movie.

I quite like this LE, but it seems slightly odd given that he was photographed a lot during the set of climbs wearing a white-dialled S300, so I would have thought they'd base the LE on that case, not the S500 case.

Mountaineering success is doubtless a matter of resolve, preparation, determining and managing risk and of course being lucky. I'm not aware of any deaths or serious injuries on his expeditions but would be happy to be educated, if they have happened.
