Just seen this news.

10 days of Rolex production probably works out at around 25,000 watches

I can’t see it only being 10 days more like at least 10 weeks.
Just seen this.. ads will follow suit surely

None of this impacts literally any of us, total non-event but yes agree its going to be longer than 10 days.
I hadn't realised that the situation had become this serious...
Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
Gosh, AD's may run out of the "cheap" watches you have to buy before being given the honour of buying a "dear" watch!
Honestly, who cares at this time?

I’’’ll not miss any of the 25,000 two tone 26mm Datejust’s they seem to produce every day either.

Once people can no longer make an instant profit on a new sports Rolex no one will care anyway. I wonder how much damage Rolex have done to their reputation in the watch collector world. Sure, there are lots of people out there with no interest in watches who'll do what it takes to have a ROLEX on their wrist but as Tiny points out, most of us can't buy the things anyway.
"A man of little significance"
The decision was made to protect staff and their families and also to help limit the spread of Coronavirus, the letter, written in French, continues.
Dreadful news.
Watch the prices on Watchfinder and Chrono24 go totally mental

A dark day for grey dealers across the nation....... and bent ADs :)
Who's buying?
All the people who will now have time on their hands as they 'work from home'.
They probably won't be any less productive, but all those hours chatting over coffee or in doorways (why do people always stop in doorways?) will be spent browsing websites instead...
Trust me, it happens...

Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?
I am guessing this will mean Tudor will also decrease supply?
Rolex going the extra mile to control supply ;)
I suspect that people will stay home, not trust the postal system which will soon be creaking and just temporarily stop buying luxury goods.
I am currently saving a small fortune because I am not allowed out to spend money in restaurants etc and I'm not alone in that.
It will soon correct itself.
In 4 months when we're rooting through bins for food, this news will seem quaint.
We're screwed folks.
They aren't the only Swiss watch company or supplier to close production.
I just thank goodness I have a mechanical watch.
Wow - 10 whole days or 10 whole weeks. Does not really matter. Lets face it Rolex are the past masters at market manipulation. God forbid they might make some steel sports Rolex for the UK market, much better to shut down production. Thay way we'll have to buy all that blinged up stuff that's cramming the AD's.
I believe it may be due to the loss of vital components that come from China..........
It’s was a joke buster, don’t get hung up on the itty bitty details.
