1990 watch... as a Birthday present.

Was talking to a family member who was thinking about a ‘Birth year’ watch as a gift....

Thing is, the guy in question is a big guy and I can’t think of much from that period that would be big enough.

They want a ‘name’ brand so Breitling/Omega/Tag.... and below £1250.
( so probably a Tag )
Quartz is fine btw...

It’s not an easy task!

So what can you think of?

I've said it before but I remember Tag were THE watch in the 90s .

Like Robbo says, it really was all about TAG in the 90s. I remember spending many a lunch break strolling to the jewellers near our office and lusting after one. I wasn’t even that bothered which one! I just wanted a TAG because they were cool.

£250 over budget but this would likely fit the bill:

TAG was IT in the 90;s but I also can't find a nice model.

So I would opt for a nice DJ or like me an Speedmaster automatic panda dial ;)!

Tag 2000 chronograph certainly worth a look. As a teenager of the 80s tag was absolutely the thing and I was lucky to have a tag 2000 quartz diver but always aspired to the chrono which happily now I have too! Unfairly maligned these are quality designs that are excellent value at present
