SKX vs Steinhart, opinions?

I'd have to go with the consensus and say keep the SKX.

I can't comment on the quality difference between Seiko & Steinhart, but I'd prefer to have an iconic watch instead of an imitation of one.

I actually gave my SKX007 to a friend when his entire watch collection was stolen! He's since amassed loads of amazing watches again, but it all started with the 007.

Not going to lie... I really missed it and decided to buy it again :P

It's all personal preference at the end of the day!

I've recently been interested in a GMT diver, specifically steinhart pepsi 39mm gmt.

Wondering how this compares to my skx007, as this is the watch I'd sell to part fund the watch, and keep the collection smallish.

Is it worth selling the seiko skx to fund the steinhart? Would love to hear some feedback on people who have owned both!

Also as a little side, is there anyway to get access to the sales corner early? Perhaps sending proof of ID or something to mods?

I've had a Steinhart GMT 42mm for when they were first released and have been looking at their 39mm also.

I have the SKX013 and the Steinhart Ocean 39 GMT.

The non-hacking and non-handwinding movement of the SKX annoys me quite a lot .... I really should spend the money to upgrade it.

If you are worried about the "homage" factor of the Ocean 39 GMT, then get the Ocean 39 GMT Premium 500. That might well be the best watch Steinhart make ...
