Don't see the problem personally - for many (non WIS) people, having a Rolex is all about showing off your wealth, so they are just being honest about where they got their cash from !

There were a few of them around back in the day, prizes for sales I believe.
Around the same time frame I recall the Philippine Airlines Tudors too.
Quite realistic prices for both of these in the past but like anything Rolex/Tudor now probably fetch good money.
