As in the tv remote etc? If so it is brilliant & great with Alexa.

Amazon have some great flash sales for about £140 if I remember correctly.

Friend just bought one and loves it, he was telling me about buying the remotes and the hub is included for less than buying the hub (or something like that) anyway, he bought from Amazon and says it’s great.

Superb piece of kit. My Harmony Ultimate controls 9 of my devices, and I use it to control 11 different activities, eg, I’ve set up ‘Music Streaming’ to Turn on my TV, set to the correct input, turn on Amp, set to correct input, turn on my DAC and wake Apple TV with all appropriate commands required from then on.

Be warned though, you have to put in the work. It will take hours upon hours of your time to get it just the way you want it. It’s highly customisable, so everything seems possible, but you can’t expect it to work straight out of the box. I continue to find things to change and improve on it, and I’ve owned it for 18 months.

The iPad and iPhone app work fine, but a little clunky, so I always favour the remote itself. Works with Alexa too, but not something I use. I bought from Amazon during one of their many reductions so wasn’t that expensive for remote, hub, IR blasters, etc.

    9 remotes to 1 - it’s brilliant.

Best bit of kit in the house, just make sure you set the activities up correctly.

    Only thinks I’d say are:
    - Register with camel camel camel for price drops on Amazon
    - Hue can be a bit temperamental with voice commands
    - Alexa / Google is a pain if volume is loud as they can’t properly hear you - although this is likely down to the positioning of my Google Home
    - Don’t leave a 6-month old puppy alone with the remote
    - You’re other-half will moan for the first few months until they work out how to use it properly

I have the Logitech Harmony Ulitmate with Hub along with a second, screenless remote. If I didn’t have it, the rest of my family wouldn’t be able to get the surround sound system working on the TV. Being able to start multiple devices at the same time and have their inputs set correctly is a boon.

Great bit of kit as per comments above.
Really best if you get the remote to go with it.

I got an Elite to go with: Hue Lights, Denton Amp, LG TV, PS4, SkyQ.

It’s great. Having to go through the process for each activity with the original remotes would be such a pain.

I did have some initial set up problems but the customer support telephone line was brilliant!

I don’t know for sure, but unlikely.

My old Harmony One is IR only.
My current Harmony Ultimate is RF signals to the hub, which then sends out IR signals via the hub and two IR extenders. The remote can also send out IR signals if required, but rarely needed for most people, so usually sticks to RF. Bluetooth too.
iPad and iPhone is WiFi to the hub which then sends out the IR signals.

You really need the remote for these things to shine. I find the app a bit of a faff on my phone and never use it.

    Taken from the website...
“Harmony Hub accepts one remote of each type: One touchscreen remote (Elite, 950, Ultimate, Ultimate Home, Touch, Ultimate One) One screen-less remote (Companion remote, Home control remote, Smart Control remote) One Harmony keyboard (Smart Keyboard).”

Love mine - although it takes a little setting up and can be a little temperamental someitmes because it uses different ways of connecting with various things - every now and then one of my devices gets out of sync e.g is on instead of off - but once done it's generally reliable and if you have issues the support line can sort stuff out remotely for you.

But yeh, get the remote - the phone app is no substitute.

You can normally 'learn commands' using the original AVR / amp remote.
