Nice move considering I am/was short SP500, EUR/USD, Tesla and Bitcoin, but does it really make such a big difference whether CPI is up 8.8% or 9.1%?

Nope, but the dump was good as I was also short and I bought the Dow just after it stopped then closed the position quickly.
I'm out for the day, but I'll see where the market is a couple of hours before close.

Getting taken to the cleaners with my Tezzler short today. Poor quarterly report, disastrous IR call afterwards, there was only one way for the stock today: up, up, and higher. God knows how they do it, but retail traders jumping into this as if there was no tomorrow.
Staying short, stubbornly. Got cash short and a boat full of puts, long S&P doesn't even cover a quarter of the loss.
Sometimes you have to be prepared to suffer for your convictions, have actually violated my iron stop-loss rule on this one.

TESLA SHORT-SELLERS FACE 'SHORT-SQUEEZE HELL' - S3 (1338 EDT/1738 GMT) The end of "supply chain hell" may become a "short squeeze hell" for Tesla short-sellers, according to S3 Partners, after Elon Musk said during a call with analysts the automaker has the "potential for a record-breaking second half of the year." Tesla shares are jumping 9.47%, on track to post their biggest single-day gain since January. Short interest in Tesla amounts to $18.54 billion with 24.98 million of its shares shorted, or 2.92% of the stock, S3 said. Tesla short-sellers actively trimmed their exposure ahead of the earnings release on Wednesday, covering 2.09 million shares, worth $1.55 billion, over the last 30 days, S3 said. This amounted to a 7.7% decrease in shorted Tesla shares after the stock rebounded from this year's lows. Over the last week 1.20 million shares worth $891 million were bought to cover, resulting in a 4.6% decrease in total shares shorted. Tesla is not only the biggest shorted U.S. stock, but also worldwide, S3 said.
Slowly coming back on this one, last sale is in the money again. It was tempting to sell more at $825, but since I already broke my stoploss rule I decided not to....
