Fun fact, ARK, is named after the Ark of the Covenant.

Think this will have a material effect on the price on Monday? I re-entered my short on Thurs morning but I'll increase it if we see the price shoot up over this for sure.

The TZLA fanbois are crazy enough. After hours closing was $652.20, there was a little trading in Germany on the L&S platform today but no change. Honestly, the ARK paper is the most laughable piece of 'research' ever written, the internet is full of takedowns. Also, Elon killed FSD 8.x beta without anyone taking notice.

I will sell into any strength, have no idea if it will happen or not. The 'rumours' about an imminent release of a very bullish ARK price target have been swirling for weeks, in a real world I would say it's a classical sell-the-news event, but this is TZLA.

Interesting few hours tomorrow between the opening of the pre-market until the options will open.

Bit disappointingly, not a lot of action in TZLA - $660 to $666. Maybe a little later when Robinhood opens trading?

Long SP500 and Nasdaq futures, not a lot of conviction and if it fails upside I might try a short later.

I think it might be regional? Some similarities in mine with others which I've never Googled.

I suppose it must be a regional thing?

I have certainly searched TZLA related stuff, but none of the other topics on the list was ever in a search query of mine.

    Certainly not.

There might be a tracking cookie on the coinbase site which tells Google about my habits (even though I certainly did not approve of it), so yes Google may know that I have an interest in the asset class.

But even if you discount this, what about the other questions?

Short positions in VW ords are increasing... we might come to see a nice setup.

VW is the new VW. And VW is the new TZLA.

Eventually bought TZLA at $680, set take-profit for half at $698 - obviously it traded up to $694 and is at $678 now. Grrhhhhhh.

But then the long S&P/ND futures are paying handsomely.

whats your take on tigr Raffe? they are due results this week and surely to christ they are going to be positive, yet there is just no movement. Do the markets know something the average joe doesnt or is there a bigger picture? Please look into your crystal ball for us.

Their competitor FUTU reported good results recently...and their share price took a dive.

I wouldn't bank on riches after their earnings, therefore, but I do believe in TIGR's potential and will hold.

As posted earlier, I have sold mine at $22.15 - it traded both higher and lower since. I still think it is a good stock to own, would buy on an earnings-related sell-off.

The future of TIGR will be determined by
    • customer growth: look out for number of (funded) accounts, average size
    • profitability: we don't want further dilutution
    • strategic alliances/cross investments (IBKR)

I bought VW two weeks ago as a LT investment...I'm up 46% through today. (I've got a couple 'stinkers' too, of course!)

No. During the first wave, I had a take/profit order at $698, but it only got to $694 and change, then dipped to $678 again. Then I changed my order to a tight $8 trailing stop/loss for half of my position. When it retreated from the high ($699.62), it triggered the stop when it hit $691.62 and executed at $691.53. I then sold the rest at $693.22 a little later.

Since I only bought one lot of 100 shares, it was rather irrelevant anyway, I had bought to manage the tail risk if it would go to $740 or even towards $800 - which never happened.

Very strange day today, up over 100 pts on Nasdaq futures and 20 on SP, and short TZLA and GSX, but then the small/midcaps get a heavy beating and my net is a small minus.

The ratio between Nasdaq and Russel has gone ballistic over the last three days.

I still think we will go higher. Crucial we close above 3,900.

By the way, picked up some cheap TIGR today.

Wow, what a difference an hour makes. small caps getting murdered with spillover into main markets.

This doesn't look very healthy, after a week of buying the dip, I am not sure players can be motivated to do it again tomorrow.

Gamestonk reported after hours and it wasn't very good. I suppose most of the bois don't care much about earnings and revenue and such stuff, but in the end it's a company without a business model and no future and is valued at >$12 bln marketcap.

    But we like the stock.

If you look across all the recent IPO, SPAC and tech sh1tstocks that don't make any money, they are all down heavily, a lot 50% from their very recent highs.

If you watch someone like that dickhead 'Meet Kevin' on youtube, him and all his retard followers are all crying into their coffee, buying the dip is no longer in their vocabulary. At least it has probably driven a lot of speculation from american joe public out of the market, nursing their wounds from holding the baggage. Just needs the rest of the house of cards to follow. Which it will, eventually. Whenever eventually is.

I've noticed this thread has gone very, very quiet over the last few days. I don't know if it has anything to do with the recent heavy fall of the tech sh1tstocks. Maybe now this thread will turn to focus a little more on investing rather than gambling.

That said I've got quite a lote of cash tied up in a bond that is maturing soon. Given this will turn from 2.3% interest to almost zero interest, AZN and GSK look reasonable value at the moment being 20-30% off highs. I may stick a good chunk in them, close my eyes, and leave for 5 years.

Strange day, erratic whip-sawing in a narrow range - decided to sit one out after trying both long and short during the morning with limited success.

The Nasdaq wants down, the SP wants up, no idea which is going to win. Sometimes it's better to watch from the sideline.

TIGR is under pressure, been buying more today. We shall see.

If this thread were just about investing i.e. buying into something and leaving it the hell alone for X number of years, then it would be even quieter...No-one wants to hear about me doing nothing to the funds in my SIPP do they?
