    AD Rolex Deliveries

    Hi all,

Probably a thread that has been done to a death but I was just thinking about the AD deliveries.

I suppose it depends on dealer but all 3 of my watches have come in on a Friday! Might just be a coincidence it then it got me thinking.

Do they get weekly deliveries on a certain day and do they even know what they are getting or is it just what turns up?

When I worked for an AD the deliveries were monthly and it wasn’t know what would be in it.

Don’t work in a Rolex AD but from what I know:

    1. There’s usually a fixed frequency of deliveries depending on store size/sales (e.g. - once a week or twice a week).

    2. Sometimes a store will not get a delivery but they will be notified a few days/a week prior. I’ve had my AD tell me ‘we’ve been told we won’t be getting a delivery next week’.

    3. The deliveries I’m referring above to are for core models (OPs, DJs). Sport models or wish lists/models with a deposit place can come in at any point of the week under ‘special order items’.

    4. ADs will know 1-2 days in advance what they are getting, if a delivery is about to be made. They get sent a list of product codes or something, that they can search up on the system.

Take what I’ve said with a pinch of salt, and feel free to correct if you know of any inaccuracies. I do however, spend quite a lot of time at my AD and know few of them well.

Deliveries are kept secret, especially from salespeople. Senior management give info out on a need to know basis so as to stop a stampede of people arriving and further reinforcing the difficulties of obtaining and reinforce the mystery of the brand.
